Man that’s awesome I always heard the PlayStation was one of the best CD players but didn’t want that look with my stereos but with this I might have to try to make something similar. I run a Sansui 9090 and a pioneer sx1250 both recapped by me in the last year. I remember seeing a pioneer in one of your videos before. Awesome stuff man.

I felt the same way with the look of the PS1. I remember you commented when you spotted the pioneer. I was surprised 😂 I just need to make an all in one power supply to power the screen, ps1 and the vu meter board. I’m thinking of using Pc power supply. Just gotta figure out how to do it. @@LetsRideIllinois I had seen this done in different iterations around the internet. I had an old tape deck laying around along with the ps1. I figured it would be a quick, easy and fun project and that it was 👍🏻

@@2pleez122474 well for a countertop unit as shown in the video it might be ok but it's not going to produce any earth shattering sound that you can get from even a PC being used as a CD player. You turn it up to louder than a human conversation and there's noise.

I wasn’t trying to break any records here . Just take it for what it is and let it rest. I have a Yaqin MC-13s Tube amp, a Pioneer CT-F750 tape deck, a Pioneer SG-750 graphic EQ, a AIYIMA Tube-T2 for preamp and Bluetooth, the CD player I made and OHM Walsh 2’s. Let me be happy and stop criticizing as I know a little something about sound. Like I said before it was a fun project.

That’s the model that others said had the nice cd player that were much nicer than my mod 🤷🏼‍♂️ As far as being bulky I was trying to do it on the cheap and I already had that tape deck sooo…..
