Sony PS3 Controller Problem !!!

RESET IT. ON THE BACK OF IT, TO THE RIGHT SIDE ABOVE THE STICKER THERE IS A SMALL HOLE... USE A POINTED OBJECT THAT FITS THROUGH IT AND PRESS IT ONCE, THEN PLUG IT TO THE PS3 WITH USB CABLE THEN TURN IT ON. HOPE THIS HELPS

i have issue on my ps3 slim, on the screen is text connect controller using usb cable and press the ps button, if i connect it with cable all is in same position, still same screen and the controller is blinking and cant find the console, so i dont know what do, i have one original ps controller and one “fake” (no original) so can you help me? i try reset controller and none happened

This once happen to me when my cousin drop it, If u haven't noticed there is a little hole behind the controller, turn on the controller and when is flashing like that just get a something pointy and insert it on the hole and press it till u hear a click,this will restart ur PS3 controller :)

I had a working controller 5 mins ago, but it just stopped connecting and nothing seems to be working. I've tried every fix on the forums and these help videos, but no controllers will connect. Extremely frustrating as I opened it up and cleaned out the dust and applied new thermal compound. Controller worked just fine after, but after turning it off and back on again, none of my controllers will connect no matter what I try.

Turns out it wasn't the controllers, but the console. Fried the motherboard and antenna while trying to fix my overheating problem.

I'm having the very same problem. The controlled tha I"ve been using connected to my pc now doesn't connects to my ps3, whereas the other controller still works okay. I feel like the driver that I have used to connect the controller in my pc has broken the ps3 controller configuration. Might we find a way to fix it

People taking the piss out of the video need to back off!! I did exactly the wrong thing and used the wrong cable, no idea where it even came from and obviously it didn't charge or illuminate the controller lights. Didn't even occur to me that it was a data cable only. Tried numerous usb sockets and simply assumed the controller had died, it is the original from way back when! Just found the Sony cable, plugged in and away we go. All working ok again.

all you have to do is find something such as a needle and push the reset button thats located int the back, inside the lil hole

Actually, since I connected my PS3 controller to my Windows Computer, it started doing this, I got mine from the shop.

Try restarting it, there is a little hole in the back of your ps3 controller. Get something that will fit in the hole.

Chinese PS3 version... it´s not genuine product. But you can use the reset button at rear of controller.

get a toothpick or needle or something like that and flip your controller over. you will see a screw beside the screw there is a small hole really small hole what you want to do is turn it on and while the lights are flashing take the needle and stick it in the hole and you will hear it it is like a button press then it will turn off turn it back on and it should be working again.

Right next to the top screw hole they're is a reset hole take a paper clip and push it if for 5 seconds take it out and it should connect

all you have to do is reset it. there is a tiny button on the back, press it with i pen, then connect it to the ps3 to pair it, and you are good to go.

@Mr143 if u look closely at the top, u will see a little hole. in that hole, theres like a little button (yellow i think) and u hav to push that with something small (paperclip, pencil, etc) and then it should turn on ;)

@PercytheheroXx what right buttons? do you mean R2/L2? if yes then a spring got loose. a way to check if that's your problem: shake your ps3 controller and when you hear a little metal thing moving inside it then you should open it and put it back

I think that u may have too many devices connected via. Bluetooth to your PS3. I had the same problem and fixed it by going to settings, select new device, and push the PS button on your controller

CONNECT IT WITH THE CABLE...THEN PRESS FOR 2 SECONDS THE PS BUTTON...GO TO CONTRELLER OPTION AND PUT THE VIBRATION OPTION TO OFF...THEN REMOVE THE CABLE AND WILL WORK

there is a reset button in the back of the controller next to a screw hole. now pock it with a needle and wait for some seconds and get your controller charger and connect it to your controler and your ps3 and it SHOULD work.. hope i helped!

I have the same problem only when I put the USB in my controller just charges it doesn't work. The ps button flashes when its off the USB and it doesn't respond when its on the USB. Please help me if you know how to fix it. The Reset button didn't work either.

Most likely that the LED circuit is not in line properly. Just get an expert to take it apart and fix it.

Just click the reset button while it's connected via USB ( ._.). I had this problem and tried it and it worked.

Turn the PS3 off from the power switch, reset the controller then turn the PS3 on then try and connect your controller (it worked for me at leased)

this happens when you allow the battery to run out and carry on using it so you need to reset it (small button on the back of the controller) and then plug it in via the USB cable and voila, back in the gaming bizz

here is the problem, i have 3 controllers, 2 wires that charges the controllers. 1 regular ps3 controller, the other 2 are different. I was using the PS3 one and it said low battery on the TV screen, so i thought i should charge it, but it still said on the screen that it needed charged, so after about a week, the controller died. and my other 2 controllers need charge too. Plus both of my chargers wont charge it in the PS3 or the Computer,....HELP!!

had the same problem! I shut down the ps3 INCLUDING the off switch in the back for awhile...after a bit.w the controller connected(don't know if it made a diffferance really,i used a paper clip end I poked into the little hole in front of the controller and held for 10 seconds..turned everything back on and it worked..don't know if I had the ps3 on /off forever or it was the reset

Have that issue on ps3 slim kept using it with that problem but im pretty sure thats a bluetooth antenna problem try a rock candy controller with a usb if tou want to use it wirelessly that way
