I have filmed all my videos with rx100 III - the only downside that i see is that you need to record audio separately.

@@zerospecs2331 I used Lavier mic from Röde - You can just plug it into phone and sync audio tracks in edit.

What you see in the video is pretty much the extent of my testing. This is a contrast based autofocus system so it needs to shift focus to figure out where it is (unlike a phase detect system of the RX100 V and later).

Most cameras have an automatic mode, but don't go into a dedicated camera expecting not to learn anything. Sony cameras tend to be more difficult to use compared to Canon.

@@ScottJWaldron that was not meant for yr video. My question is the mark 111 worth buying as it a few years old is the video sound good and pictures I'm really don't no which to buy as the mark 7 4k only lasts 5 minutes videos I don't even see the point in having it if yr camrea burns out

@@Ukman-england The V, Va, and later models add "phase detect" autofocus compared to this model. That would improve video autofocus. Yeah, 4k isn't something I would expect to work for long periods of time in any of the RX100 that support it. I can't remember which model adds a flip-forward screen for self filming but it wasn't this model or previous ones.

I saw this camera for sale used, so looked it up. I don't think this is the pocket camera for me. The video looked awful. I wonder if the VII is much better. It sure isn't cheap. Not sure which camera to get but i consider a pocket camera. But it has to be small and light enough to not bother me.

Yeah, not sure. I haven't looked at the RX100 series for years. Even the VII is pretty old at this point yet Sony wants $1200 new. The RX100 VA might be the best midrange option unless you really want the extra zoom range of the VII.

This is the one to go of the rx100s if you find it cheap. Don't care about video.

Can you please do a review on the canon sx620? I have one but I just want a second opinion on it.

I don't think the camera shop I go to has it, though I'll verify that eventually. A comparable Canon camera to this RX100 would be the G7X Mark II (same sensor size). Have you tried all of the modes and features on the camera? The SX620 is small enough you could probably take it around with you everywhere and get some good photography time in daily if you wanted! That versatility is great.
