I found out about this a few months ago and I’m definitely gonna get one. Way cheaper than the Maltese I wanted plus u don’t have to buy food, pay for grooming, vet bills etc. Also better for people that are ESPECIALLY in an apartment. When I move I don’t need to pay to deep clean an apartment or pay for pet deposit and pet rent.

Actually there's everything to compare. If you live in an apartment with no yard, your landlord doesn't allow dogs, you moved around alot or your at work all day get an aibi. Aibo won't piss on the floor, chew up the carpet, crap on the floor, chew your house up, bark all day and annoy your neighbors. You don't need to worry about aibo dying, vet bills or buying food. Done

Nothing changes the fact that the expensive plastic toy is just a plastic toy, not a dog, any more than RC models are cars, planes, boats, etc. It will never be your friend, and In no time it will only come out, to show to someone who has not seen it before. A three thousand dollar dust collector that seemed like a good idea at the time. Buyer's regret will be included with each toy.

You don't have a dog, do you? It does not matter what it looks like. It is not a living, feeling, thinking critter. Without that, there is no point in possessing such a thing, it is nothing more than a possession, a thing. If you don't actually have a mutt in your life, I suppose one would think an automaton, with good looking fur, would fill the role. That would be perfectly reasonable if you haven't really known and had some kind of positive relation ship with a dog or dogs. If someone had that experience, they will immediately understand my disinterest in a dead plaything, no matter what it looks like.
