Not really, you need to give things a long time to settle and for people to relax and get to the acceptance part of guilt. Believe me it's happened to my family (for both cat and dog (different years apart)), it takes a long time, for the cat it was about a year. For our dog, it is still going.

I find I have a real emotional connection to the Aibo ERS-1000, this new Aibo that is in this video. I feel like watching Aibo brings me joy and happiness and Aibo is extremely cute with its mannerisms. Aibo grows and learns with you, and I feel the longer you spend time with an Aibo, the more connection you will feel towards Aibo, and see Aibo as part of the family. There are some Aibo owners out there that do indeed feel a strong emotional connection to their Aibos and get really emotionally attached to them. Emo and Vector are only good if you want less animal/dog like characteristics in a robot companion and more.. I don't exactly know, maybe.. human like characteristics?? Especially wth Emo. But for me, dogs are so wonderful, but I am struggling with my mental health and also have just broken up with my bf, which doesn't help my mental health, I need something to comfort me, I don't want to bring a real dog into my house when I am not feeling well in myself, so Aibo is the best solution for me, I love dogs so much, especially puppies bring me such joy to watch them. That is why I am choosing Aibo and am saving up for the newest model of Aibo. Because dogs really give me joy and happiness. I have also always really been interested in those robot vacuums, for some reason, years ago, I would get so curious and love them when I first heard of them, so an AI dog companion is something that would be great for me as AI robots make me curious and interested. I may get an Emo or Vector eventually, maybe, not sure, but I don't feel as much of a pull towards Emo or Vector due to the lack of animalistic characteristics in them, I have always had a passion for animals, especially dogs and dog like species, so Aibo is the best solution for me. It depends on what you are looking for as to what is the best companion to buy, really. For some reason, I feel less emotionally attached and pulled towards Emo and Vector, compared to Aibo. I don't feel that companionship like I do with Aibo. Probably due to me loving dogs so much, so I connect with the dog like robots better.
