They're $119 right now. Just picked one up since my XB31 is on its last legs. I also have a JBL Partybox Encore but that thing is too big to be carrying around 😅. So this was perfect.

It depends on what you mean by "good". I think it's more than adequate for me and I love a wide range of genres. The XE300 is a 'warmer' sound, which means they're a little bit toned down and not exaggerated.

@bowe It's louder, that's for sure. The perception of what you think is punch/mids and highs is pure bias. Neither the JBL or Sony are what you would use for "audiophile" testing. (I have an EXCELLENT reference grade IEM; the sound is 'boring'). Both speakers are just fun to listen to. The scoring from RTings demonstrates that they are almost equivalent and that's from a technical (non arguable) point. Get a better audio source/audio format and do more testing. My stuff is overwhelmingly FLAC, with a lot of 320k bitrate mp3s. The mids/highs, and lows are all more than adequate for me. I do prefer a warmer sound, not the BRIGHT JBL sound though. Don't go fanboying a brand and claim that one speaker is worse than the other. They just sound better depending on the preference of the listener.
