Sony STR AV270 repair

A good old Sony Hybrid-Amplifier is on the kitchen-table and the information about it is a little less but I would like to find out what happened and can I fix the issue? If you interest in Hybrid-Amplifier STK-Module technique let have a watch on and in this interest technique. I found some thing out and lets have a look on such a historic technique. If you need to desolder the connections, it is much better to apply solder paste to the place before desoldering. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. You don't need to clean the paste, MX4 on the CPU is electrically non-conductive. How about trying to first place the chip in the holes and solder only two landscape pins, put the chip on the cooler and screw it on. Only then reheat both outer pins and finally solder all the others. Maybe it would go much better and faster.

I have an av570 that needs the integrated output amp chip. I think a lot of these replacement stks may be counterfeit. My sony will sit as i have multiple better spare receivers to use instead. Hope to find a cheap sony at goodwill someday to donate the stk. These sonys have very poor resale value
