Sony STR-GX70ES from 1990 (Made In Japan) was a far superior unit (better quality transistors & epu boards) than the current DH 190 in terms of sound quality and build. If you can find one in mint condition , GET IT !!!

It has channels A and B and you can choose both channels to output at the same time

Estgimado, buen día. Igual tengo este amplificador strdh190, pero los bajos se escuchan débiles con mis parlantes sony. Pero, con el otro amplificador sony str212 los bajos se escuchan muy bien. No sé que puede ser. Algo que cambiar en la configuración. Saludos desde Chile.

Can you control volume independently between A and B speakers when playing from the same input? Thinking about using this for simple music streaming for a pair of speakers in my living room, and a pair of wired speakers outside, but want to have independent volume for both of those zones

I don't think you can hook a sub woofer up since that would typically be a 2.1 channel rather than 2.0. I'm no expert though.

I’m looking at speakers and found these “Sony SSCS5 3-Way 3-Driver Bookshelf Speaker System (Pair)” My question is what wires do I need to connect the speaker pair to the STRDH190 receiver to play records from my PS-LX310BT ?

It largely depends on the speakers, with my ss-cs5 Sony speakers, it has more then enough bass.

It is output A and output AB. Output A will drive the speakers connected to the A output and AB will drive the speakers connected to both outputs A+B

I wish people would look seriously at not buying a product that is at the very bottom of the line. Take that $200, save a little and get something that is worth your money. I got the Sony STR-CH590 as a gift. Of course it failed. It overheated, it shut itself down, it produced substandard sound, etc. I wish I could get back my Sony ES line of hifi equipment which was a thousand times better and Made in Japan. These units are just junk.
