Very advanced maintenance! Good! I would only have changed the two pinch rollers that looked a bit "shiny", full of tape debris on the rubber. At least you could grind them with extra fine sandpaper.

Actually it would be better to change them as you said, the (more plastic than) rubber material used for them has become very hard and the tape slips and skews

@@manstuckonhishead Thank you so much. I just have never replaced the belts in cassette deck. I used to do this in reel to reel tape recorders a couple of times but never looked inside of a cassette deck. To me it's a new world so your video is very interesting and professional. I only think that you should have removed the remains of dead belts using petroleum instead of izopropanol. I believe it should remove rubber yet doing nothing to plastic.

Oh I wanna ask you a question. is it possible to polish heads in such a deck? In case it's heavily worn in use. I've seen a video on another youtube channel with reel to reel recorders restoration and that person who did it told that in a lot of cases it is possible to gently polish the head with some high grit polishing paste against piece of glass for example in order to restore or at least improve its surface. Is it possible with cassette deck heads? New head is a rare thing nowadays.

I wonder what year this copy is. Wonderful layout of modules. It's a pleasure to repair such a thing. Recently repaired the tape recorder "Mayak - 232" model 1984. To replace the lubrication of the rollers had to be disassembled to the condition as in the video. RU. Интересно какого года этот экземпляр. Замечательная компоновка модулей. Такой ремонтировать одно удовольствие. Недавно ремонтировал магнитофон "Маяк -232" модель 1984 года. Чтобы заменить смазку роликов пришлось разобрать до состояния как на видео.

I have the Sony TC-WA7ES it's very similar in fact I think the actual decks are identical to this one and I've replaced the belts. Deck A works but deck B only works when playing in reverse not foward. Do you know what may be the issue?

Hocam öncelikle kolay gelsin, videolarınızda kasetçalarları tekrardan canlandırmanız harika birşey. Evde eski bir Sony CFS-715 var, A kısmı parçayı çalarken 1 dk geçmeden tonu bozulup kaseti sarıp koparıyor, hiçbir tamirci uğraşmak istemiyor(at gitsin ya kaset mi kaldı diyorlar). Bir de ton ayarı yaparken HIGH ve NOR var, bunlar nedir? Acaba sorun ne olabilir? Şimdiden teşekkür ederim

Cfs olduğuna göre sony boombox.Mekanik olarak lastikler ve makaralara bakılmalı.High normal kısmını bilmiyoruz.Tone kısmı ekolayzer gibi high olan orta sesi ve tizleri yükseltir.Normal kısım normal toneda çalmasını sağlar👍🏼🙋‍♂️

Molykote brand white grease. If you want it thinner, mix it with transmission oil.
