Thank you for done this comparison, as I know SONY ULT field 7 competitor is JBL Boombox 3, not the Partybox 120. The field 7 outperformed Boombox 3, but compared to Partybox 120, I must admit the bass of 120 insane deep. And JBL speakers well known for their deep bass capability. Not many speaker brands could beat the JBL in term of deep bass on the same class. Both of them are respectful and great audio Brands.

As long as people keep raving about these party boxes, jbl wont make a 3 way. It wont make sense to change something thats a hit with most people. The average person isnt an audiophile. They just want smooth sound loud volume and a shit load of base. It would be nice to see a 3 way design tho. it would take these party boxes to another level

Wrong music to demo with!!!! Its not just about bass; its about clarity and warmth!!! Putting a drum machine with synth bass and voicecoder through it doesn't show any sonic or acoustic qualities!!! Told me nothing and helped me not... POOR
