Ah, this helped a ton, thanks! I was recording from a webcam, and had to track down all of the "automatic" white balance and exposure settings in both the Logitech and Camtasia settings, and turn them off. Once I had a consistent video to work with, this tutorial got me the rest of the way, even in Pro 16, years later. :)

Great Tutorial. For shadow you could also duplicate your talent layer, adjust the size on the ground and then use a blur and brightness to make it look like a shadow. :)

You my friend rock, Keep it up :) One thing you can do to make it more realistic though is to add sound effects that apply to the scene you are in for example you could add on city noises since you are in the city. Just a tip!

WHY do some videos I shoot Green Screen and use Screen filter in Vegas Pro 11 immediately cast a light lavender color visible especially on a WHITE Shirt? With adding a mask to the green floor of the characters video you can add the real shadows they cast on the ground into the final video :)
