You could repair them but you have to cut the harness at a great expense in time, they built them that way on purpose and now with a large amount of them coming back because they used so very little material to hold the headband at the swivel area, they might have to make a revision.

As long as Sony doesn't change the quality of the plastic, don't buy their headphones!!! I have purchased 4 in the last 9 years. The newest ones all broke

Is there a way you can fit the electronics from the newer ones into the case/skeleton of old broken ones?
