It's best to avoid removing the memory card so I recommend using the lead. Also it is important to say that you can buy cheap chargers for the batteries since that's often more convenient. Can you manually adjust white balance for video on this? I purchased the HX20V but it didn't have the manual setting and the auto white balance never recognised my artificial lights so I took it back. I will repeat that I am talking about on video, not stills where I know there is a manual setting.

I tried what you said but it doesn't work. As soon as I push rec it goes back to the wrong white balance and the picture has a red tint. I even set it up next to my old tx7 and the difference was very clear to see. This is because the video mode is auto so naturally it ignores any settings applied in the programmable still image modes. I think it's ok under regular electric light but it's useless under my mini studio set up which I use for 99% of my videos. Think I'll just get a 2nd hand tx7.

Would this be a good first camera for me? I'm not getting into professional pictures and such but when I see something amazing I would like to take a shot. Or when I go out in the woods or vacation.

is it effective in producing blur-free pictures and counteracts hand shake? after watching ur review, I've set my mind up on purchasing this camera however I need to make sure that it's anti-shake...my no 1 pb when taking pictures is that I don't have sturdy hands and I always end up with blurry pics...

i I have been looking at this sony and the nikon coolpix s9200 I like the features they both have to offer but i cant decide which would be better. i would like to step up from my very simple kodak m575 since you cant change very many settings, the zoom is 5x but more like 2.5, the pictures have been getting worse with noticable noise, the shutter is very slow at its fastest i have gotten 1/4 of a second and the scenes arent that good. I would like someone else's opinion. Thanks!

Yep that was a decent review overall, good voice speed and no waffle. Only one criticism and that is why are you so afraid to just come out and say that it is a really good camera, especially at this price point? too many comments about its not the best this and its not the best that!! jeez its just a little point and shoot, we all know its not the best camera on the market!

Hello!! Which camera would you say is better- the sony cybershot dsc wx150 or the wx50? I shoot in all light conditions, 50% daylight and 50% night time, also both indoors and outdoors equally. Plus, I shoot portraits and inanimate objects equally too! I'm really confused between the two, and price isn't really an issue.

lol way out of my price range for the RX100, but based on your review and from what i've read online...I have decided to go with the WX150. As for the memory card, either a microSDHC or a regular SDHC card will suffice? (it takes both?)

Good review, just a few questions: How good is the flash? Are nighttime shots without the scene on any better? And how good is image editting on the camera itself? My last was very restrictive in the editting ability (I had a preset box that I could move around on the image and save the section of the image inside the box but I had no ability to change the size of the box.)

Hi, great review you have done here. Can i ask you a favour please. I need your advise. I have recently returned a Sony hx20v due to video issue i had, when recording video i was getting major lagging going from a bright scene to dark like it was dropping shutter speed. Can you advise does this take as good a picture as your hx9v and 20v ? Also i know the video is only 1080i but sure it has same stabilization as hx range for video recording but videos i have seen online look poor in low light

Which is a better camera the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX100 or WX150? I want to start youtubing about app reviews and unboxing things and I would like one of these cameras because they are under 300 dollars. So I would need a camera that has good audio and pictures. Also does the WX100 have background defocus? Also what other cameras do you think i should get that are good for the things I want to do on youtube but that are 300 dollars or less? I had this camera for about 7 months, got this as a prize, didn't know that it's worth around $200 (I thought it was worth around $130) No wonder I was impressed by the quality of both pictures & videos, can produce a good image in a low light condition (of course, it's still nothing compared to SLR cameras, but for a point & shot camera, this is the best I've ever had, beside it also has so many little features) So sad that mine's broken *lens got stucked* :(

Thank you for a good video. I am looking for a good camera for less that $200 and the market is pretty full at this price point. I guess will have to keep looking, don't yet know what to get that takes fast start up, WiFi, pretty good in low light and excellent in good light, and does video.
