very in-depth and also easy to follow along with tutorial , exceptional video... I have this radio in my 2007 Chevy Trailblazer, one thing I absolutely love is the absolute best crystal sounds and the advanced dsp controls.

I replaced a xav-8000 with this unit about a year ago and it sounds amazing but I haven't used 1/2 the adjustments you just showed lol

Have you done part 3 to this head unit?
@inerceptor2 ай бұрын
I kept it simple and bought 2 Sony RSX-GS9’s. One for my truck and one for my car. I do like all of the features on this new deck though. Nice review

yes I have no complaints about the sound and controllable features

Great overview. Have you figured out how to remove the beeps with each touch? Is it possible?

Can I still program the steering wheel buttons in the deck without having to pull out the pac harness in a 2006 Yukon?

Looks like a really nice unit! 1.6 hz the lowest it will go on a hp filter? Doing a two-way with a wideband I'd like it to cross lower.

Really looking forward to seeing this in the lab. I wish idatalink would make a maestro for the c6- I really want vehicle data for things like the torque app, and what not..

If the stereo is on when the vehicle is powered off and then the vehicle is turned back on again, does it go back to the radio being on with music?

I got a question. What type of format does this unit require to play usb files? Thanks
@ajayahuja92 ай бұрын
Thanks. When in subwoofer stereo mode does it allow to set time delays independently for each of those subs?
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
Is that something a person would actually use? Are you saying that's important to you?
@ajayahuja92 ай бұрын
@@JasonWW2000 yes if one is using say a sub in the front and one at the back this would be important.
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
@ajayahuja9 Yeah, I can see that. I can't find any details about that in the manual. Dean very rarely has time to respond to questions in the comments section. The only likely way to find this information is to check out other people's reviews on it. You might see it in a video or they might answer your question.

Why is it in this day and age i still can't have a preset master volume at bootup? I've had this on my Denon A/V receiver for like 20 years! No one ever like being reminded at 6am that they forgot to turn down the volume before getting out of the car last night.

When setting to 3 way system , I assume that impacts the speaker outputs as well as the RCA outputs or can they be adjusted individually ?
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
What exactly are you asking? He showed each output can be time aligned, crossed over and EQ'd.
@MKVally2 ай бұрын
@@JasonWW2000 oh apologies I may have skipped passed that, however my question is does it impact RCA's and the speakers outputs or can the the high level and low level outputs be controlled separately?
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
@@MKVallyThe high level and rca outs are basically connected together. It's just different power/voltage levels.

I actually really like the design, simple and clean when most head units are filled with tacky icons. However it seems to lack substance. "All apps" is generous. 3 of which are cameras which could have been a simple interface inside a single camera "app" like Stinger does. Bezels from 10 years ago. Even the CarPlay config seems weird for a 10" display. 2x4 grid, something Sony is entirely in control of. Instead they treat it like a 7" unit.

The danger with this unit is running down the battery while you play with all the EQs!

Almost 2025 and we still don't have optical out in high end head units despite the adoption of standalone DSP.
@JasonWW20002 ай бұрын
With good reason.

Atoto headunits have optical out crazy off brand headunits have it but not streamline brands maybe it’s for a good reason though idk 🤷🏽♀️

@thatguykai479 The Chinese brands aren't paying Toshibas licensing fee and they are too small and difficult to sue.

Ugly bezels! Why so thick bezels in a modern head unit of 2024? Could have been trimmed for a sleeker look or a bigger screen. Also could have used all this wasted space for a real volume knob placed towards the bottom corner…. Also, why no option for dynamic stage organization such has adjustable speaker positions (low, mid, high)? No other DSP,options like bass boost, space enhancer etc. Kenwood Excelons are much better buys
@maynellrodrigues98622 ай бұрын
What sucks is in the world of android headunits, all the big names bring out designs like this 🥲🥲🥲🥲. My God that bezel should’ve stayed back in 2015… It’s a big turnoff considering rest of the great system.
