I bought this from Crutchfield but I sent it back for the 9000ES due to the screen issues you highlighted. The 9000ES is HD and has a better quality screen.

Just installed this yesterday, it looks nice from the outside but I’m not happy with it and gonna return it. 1. Custom wallpapers looks completely washed out and dark. For over $500 I would think this shouldn’t even be a problem. 2. I love using my IPod and I’ve been using my iPod controlled by my old stereo for over 15 years and it has 1000s of musics, this doesn’t supports it even using the usb wire converting to usb-c. It can access it and control it minimally but the files are all scrambled and can’t be read. This is a deal breaker for me. I think I will return this and switch to the Alpine ILX-670 that has iPod control.

The screen is bad due to TN panel. Ax4000 is better with TFT display but has less pre out power

Do you know if you can change the analog clock or takes it away completely? I read somewhere that you can but no reviewers has ever mentioned it yet.

Sony confirmed that it is not possible to remove the clock on all models. That’s crazy 🤬. Why Sony! Why!

@@badcrash99 that’s not true, many have said the new firmware made it that it’s removable and even turn it to digital if you want

@@badcrash99 As another person said. The latest firmware adds customization for the clock style as of 7-9-2024

My screen doesn’t do that with the glare but I have a Chevy Tahoe 2007.

@@octanetvchannel yes i should have added that i have 5 percent all the way around lol. Plus i work 2nd shift do most of my driving at night.
