Got my Xperia 10 last week, a little expensive but i love it. Extrem good handling und great display, love to watch netflix and play games on it. Snapdragon 630 is ok i had no problems with gaming, multitask or surfing.

So far, I love my 10 plus a lot! It's fast, smooth, glitch free, and beautiful. The processor and pixels are actually upgraded compared to my Xa2 Ultra (last year's midranger). The polycarbonate back feels great and not slippery. I did put a simple clear case on it just to be safe while still showing the beauty of my silver 10 plus. I don't wanna get it damaged for sure, but I guarantee it won't break during drops. The front glass is Gorilla Glass 5, a step up from my Ultra. I've watched 21:9 movies and it's a very immersive experience. Netflix has 70% 21:9 content and major heavy games like Fortnite and Asphalt 9 are formatted in this ratio too. I haven't tested out gaming yet, but I've seen videos the plus can handle big games although most have black bars on the side yet the display is still large. More media will soon adapt, but in the meantime, you will see black bars also on most KZbin videos although there are some 21:9 videos to view. You can zoom in to fill the screen, but obviously the viewing window is slightly cropped. Not a deal breaker for me. Also, the narrower display feels very good in my hand, weighs less than my fat and heavy Xa2 Ultra, and I don't have to reach far across with my thumb like I did in my wide ultra. This is more manageable. And with a double tap of the home button, it will automatically shrink your display for better one handed use if needed. Also, the taller screen is great for multi-tasking since it allows two apps to be shown equally in good size. I compared the camera to my xa2 ultra and I must say it is better. Both take great pictures in good lighting, but in low light, it's not as grainy as my Ultra. Although it has a smaller battery than my Ultra, Sony has great battery optimization with Stamina Mode and Battery Care along with Android Pie which all will help with battery life. I'm getting great battery life and I've been on it heavily, especially when watching, browsing, fine tuning my homepage and settings. There's a new feature that let's you restrict battery usage for each app that runs in the background. I've restricted all of my apps to get the best battery life. So far, I've been on it for 5 hours straight and I still got 70% left! I don't normally stay in my phone that long in one sitting, but hey, I'm excited to use my new and first 21:9 smartphone. Great job Sony, I'm pleased! 😁👍

WHAT!!! Didnt expect a kinda ok review of two Sony-phones. The only thing I had to wonder about was his critic of the screen brightness? This was actually the first review I heard that said it wasnt that bright enough. Even the real negative review from GSMARENA gave these phones a positiv reaction of this? And other reviews as well. And when it comes to the greenish tint, It was a new one too... I think Other said it was blueish, and maybe warmer red tone on the smaller one. But green was the first. But over whole... FOr once they kinda seems to enjoy a sony-phone. ANd THe didnt put that much dump of the cameras. One thing though, why not show the 21:9 ration in recordings and pictures?

By the way, its expensive phones at the moment for being midrangers. Sony really have to start thinking, do they wanna vanish into oblivian, or are they going to understand, that cant compete with that price on this type of phone. Yes I do understand that the high price is due to the fact that production hasnt gotten up to speed yet, but the price should be at least 100 dollars on both, than when productions gets up to speed a 50-100 dollars more. Because they doesnt seem to undersand they competing with midrangers in when their is Chinese vendors that sell PREMIUM devices for almost the same price. And many of them like Xiaomi are as good as Samsung.

I have the 10 plus. It makes a crackling sound when you play certain games and listen to WhatsApp voice notes. This is intermittent so you never know when it’s going to happen. My previous phone was an iPhone and this is my first Sony phone. Overall I am quite happy with It. The 21:9 display is not great for typing and the most annoying and the most annoying thing is the keyboard. I hate using swiftkey and it’s built in. You can install other keyboards but they tend to lag. My main complaint is that is so narrow which you only really notice when you see it side by side with another phone. Waiting Android 10 to be rolled out so I can see if the crackling I’ll stop. It’s definitely not a hardware issue.

All you need to know is the power button is too small and snappy. It's not pleasant like other phones. That's all that matters. You won't notice the screen size/proportions. It's all about the feel of the button you press 50 to 100x a day... Poor case options too. Wish I got the galexy s10e with the soft fabric case.

I think Sony would have made basically everything right with this phone, the aspect ratio seems great and all that without a notch, punch out or else...but the performance seems to be crappy and the camera images are just not usable.

Now 3 years later... Had this phone 2 years and still have it. Thought i would watch movies with it but never did much.. they look good but well i mostly just watch youtube on it and watch movies on laptop or tv so getting this phone was kind of bad decision. It was too expensive. Also the phone mysteriously broke and did not turn on anymore after 3 months and had to send it fixed. Some chip broke i think. After they fixed it, it has worked normally for year and half or so now. Camera is pretty good and takes very good pics in day time. No night mode on this just pixel blurr lol. It was good phone overall but something about it is kind of "off" i dont know what. Some apps like instagram had problems working correctly in this phone. Probably because of the unusual long screen shape at the time. I wish I got some cheaper basic phone instead of this or something else if as expensive, because it was kind of waste of money. I like sony products and i ques i wanted to see how the sony phones are. Dropped on floor last spring and now the screen is half black "cow print" and shattered glass.. Will continue use it as work phone though because it still works. Maybe getting galaxy a52s now

I have the Sony xperia 10 and i regret the day i bought it... The touchscreen is terrible, the fingerprint sensor doesn't work 9-10 and the phone is slower than slow... most apps also crash or start really slow compared to other even lower priced phones. If i were to buy a new phone i would avoid Sony like the plague.. customer care is also the worst i ever encountered. I had an Huawei P9 Lite and never had any issues with it.. i might go back or to a similar brand but never again a Sony..

What about the internals. SD630 & 636? And battery? These have been sony's issue since a while now. Competition provides a lot better performance in way cheaper price. They gotta fix that. I would love to use that hardware but with a better performing internals. Another flop !!

@nycbk23 I think the g7 looks better than the new skinny super tall Sony phones and from the reviews I've seen the Sony has some lag issues and the camera is just ok but kow light seems good . For my money from performance to design I'd go moto but I wouldn't expect a class leading camera from either of them

They going toward creators and people that likes to do more than one thing on the phones. And Gamers, yes the games arent supportet really yet, but they will be. Sony is kinda going towards Hollywood, and filmindustri as one talking point as well. They told this story where the camera people wanna see how a scene looks like, they have these monitors. ANd they have too look afterwards and cant watch directly. With these phones all crew can watch the scenes as they fold up in real time. Jus tbecause they are cheaper. And if me that reviews quads and such on my channel wanna record a flight, 21:9 would be so dope and cinematic, that I would go run buy the Xperia 10 plus right now, If I had the money. :-)
