Nice video, but please stop talking about "horrible viewing angles", I have the phone and the angles are just fine, you buy the phone for yourself, not for any of your friends who stare at it and complain about not seeing something on the screen... The brightness is set to adapt for lightning conditions, and I see the screen really good even in broad daylight. For anyone wanting to get one of these phones, I would really recommend the Z1 because it is absolutely awesome, and it handles anything I throw at it, with great multitasking, if you want to spend a little more cash go for the Z3.. I hope this helps anyone :)

Not everyone is concerned about the viewing angle. And also the screen of xperia z and z1 is not as bad as you say. All these smartphones use processors with different speeds, so it is not surprising that different boot speed.

The Xperia devices are all phones... Surprise surprise! The essence of a phone is calling and texting. You need a SIM card for that. Most people use a phone with a SIM card inside so that's why every time they boot up they think that they might have switched owners or something. Hence the language selection and SIM pop up

The Z2 is the softspot. The z3's speakers got worse, and only the 3+ has that issue fixed. The long LED light on the z2 was very nice looking, got ruined on the 3 with a standard small led. Altough the z3 fixed most of the issues regarding to leaking water into the device, which the z2 suffered from, but overall, I had a lot of phones and the Z2 was the best. It got water leaked in it half a year ago, now Im using a backup phone, and plan to buy another Z2 next month, which is the same price as getting the screen fixed on the previous one :I

adrianisen The screen first setup on start up is for this reason.... When the mobiles phones are in transfer and randomly start up then shut down for save the battery :) When you add simcard import contacts then dont do it again.

What's the point of caring about viewibg angles. Unless you're taking using the front camera as some mirror to see behind what's going on it's pointless. Only practical reason I see from a nuce wide viewing angle is if you're trying to perve/stalk/read people's personal messages but don't want to get too close. Actually it's a good thing having narrower viewing angles as it limits the onlookers advantages and enhances the privacy of the user. Dear Sony Oh shit. I just realised I've invented something amazing. A feature or featurette of the Z line up has been misunderstood. The viewing angles on the Z are bad but the Z3's are decent. For Privacy reasons it should be enabled/disabled to either widen/narrow or custom change the angle of view from screen to user. Call it "Private eye" . Private eye adjusts the angle of which the user's screen is viewable. A feature would be Auto turn on inmessages and emailes and Auto turn off in a film or web browser (depending on user decision)

You should get 4.4.4 fairly soon as it is being rolled out. You may have to manually check for the update and it may only work via the PC software suite (this is how I had to do it as there was no over-the-air update for mine). I have a factory unlocked version so if you have a locked one, it may take longer for the update to appear.

Well you have the annoying screens on the first three ones because the Android version of the first three ones is different as you said earlier. I have Z2 with KK4.4.4 and it has the same screen and the same loading time as the Z3 (i tested it) so....yeah.

Dantes Vương after 2+years it still holds on well with 20+% battery at the end of the day with what I consider an heavy use, LTE browsing, a few heartstone games, KZbin over wifi and even some rv series during trips. I have a powerbank but rarely use it, really only on lile 4hours+trips where the phone doesn't stop but even then is more insurance than anything else
