Why does the back cover and internals have to come out? Why not just skip to the heating up of screen, and disconnect flex and main from under the screen?

wow, have to take every single thing apart just to repair a broken screen. Sony should have built it in reverse so the screen is the first thing you take off and then go towards the back. Broken screen are probably 90% of phone repairs or something like that.

okay so if your needing to replace your screen and you follow this tutorial like i just have, then it will cost you for the earpiece. you told us to remove the earpiece and i didnt even need to so i have to spend £3.50 on a new earpiece. thanks!

Hello , The back cover is cracked and water damaged the phone , I waited some days , then now everything is working in the phone , screen touch also working , the only problem is the light of screen ( brightness ) is bad , you can only see in dark or when you turn off the light . How can I fix this problem ? Is it in the screen or the board ? Please help .

All is fine. But You dont have to remove upper speaker before getting the screen off (shown in the end of video). It just makes no sense and have just ruined one. DONT REMOVE IT OR YOU WILL BRAKE IT.

You can just take out the screen from the front like you did the back and viola disconnect the ribbon cable. Plug new screen in, glue on, put screen back and thats it.

No, you can't. The screen flex was covered and you can not take it out from the front, without opening the back cover you can not install new screen and connect the flex.

WARNING: It is not necessary to remove the earpiece at the and I highly recommend against it cause it is super sensitive and you will most likely destroy it.

Reconnect the screen connector. It's not the easiest to get right.

Abdou Laibi you need to go back and reconnect the flat connector that passes through from the screen to the motherboard. remember that these flat connectors are very fragile.

no. you had to remove battery before removing screen connector. otherwise capacitor burns..

You don't have to remove the button assembly this makes it 10x harder when having to put it back together because now the adhesive is not as strong. Convenience my ass!

Followed this and everything works, just be carefull! This video makes it look much simpler than it is. Getting the glue to soften from under the flex cable and motherboard is not as easy as this makes it seem. But it's doable, if you're carefull and somewhat experienced.
