+YujinXshadow Personally, I haven't been having a laggy experience with the Z5 Compact or had issues with memory management. It is totally fine in daily use, but yeah, an upgrade in RAM capacity to 3GB definitely would have been better.

I have had my z5 compact for 2 years. Im a youtube and music addict in otherwords i.v hammered it and it still works great. One of the best phones i.v ever had. Ps i even got it pre owned

I bought this phone this week and It will arrive next week. I wanted a smaller phone with good battery life. The camera is a bonus. A smaller screen should give me a very long standby battery life. The right-angle corners are a concern as they will probably put a square wear mark on my front jeans' pockets. Matt grey is nice as it matches my ThinkPad. I remember a similar phone was used in one of the James Bond movies a few years ago. It is more convenient and professional-looking to use a smaller phone. It only has Android 7.1. I was also considering a Google Pixel 1 to get Android 10 but Z5 seems like better overall phone.

Накрая на 2-рата година камерата престана да снима - като натиснеш бутона и много време чака и не ще да снима докато не го удариш леко с ръка или не го чукнеш в нещо твърдо, да речем в масата. Дадох го на гаранционен сервиз и ми смениха безплатно камера модула (каквото и да значи това) и всичко се оправи. Батерията държи супер много даже в 3-тата година. Добър канал, радвам се, че има и българи, които правят добри неща в Ютуб на световно ниво. Успех!

Yeah, I know, its camera is bad and looks pretty cheap... But... but... that's it! Z5C has a great battery life for a phone with SD810, great audio quality through its headphone jack, a vibrant display, superb gaming performance, and it is also very easy to handle... this one at least deserve 8.5, PA. Or if it had the Apple logo on the back, probably would've got 9.5... :D

In this case, I strongly disagree about their impressions of the Camera. Very strongly. White balance is usually very reliable indeed, dynamic range is superb and detail is very high. Night modes on Superior Auto, if you have steady hands and drop to 8mp to make use of Supersampling, can easily stand toe to toe with a Galaxy S6. Thing is: reviewers never properly explore camera features and PA's shots are all 23mp, even in low light - a big mistake.

I've seen and read endless reviews and comparison, my conclusion about the camera: pros: faster focus, more natural colors, steadyshot in 1080p. That is all. cons: Not competitive against note 5 and v10, and even 6s plus and nexus 6p in many shots and videos, sony did not fix their lousy image processing only improved it a bit, every phone can shoot decent in day light and even in day light noisy is noticeable in most shots, once going low light in z5 devices the noisy mess shows in all its glory, steadyshot in 1080p is ruined buy noisy and out of focus and lack of details 1080p video, not reliable camera in auto mode. This is embarrassing from a company with camera division who leads the market in camera sensors. It goes to show that having inferior optics and much better image processing is better then sony's mobile camera results.

Slixbrah Dxomark does not mean that z5 has the best camera. It misleads to think it. It calculates score base on overall but the end result is a far cry from being the best, in auto and in manual mode.

Slixbrah​​ correct. Heres the thing about that; DXO left the camera in 8mp - the default setting. This uses supersampling to output high fidelity, very low noise shots. Sony recommends you leave it there because of this. In low light, you simply have to keep it in 8mp to make use of the supersampling so that you get low noise, high detail images even in virtually no light at all. Indeed, in 8mp, you can get images from the Z5 in virtual pitch darkness that no other phone would even register because it has the ability to ramp ISO much much higher than the competition. This is never talked about. Sure, you can't crop very far into them and the detail will be a little muddy but that beats nothing. In decent Lit night images, the night modes do a very good job at 8mp,... But NOT at 20/23mp where the ISO can't climb high enough and the camera can't sample out the noise. PA, just like just about everyone else, put it at max resolution and keep it there because that's gotta be better, right? Wrong. And reviews like this are the result.

+dzordz I've actually done it now, omg do it. it's such a refreshingly different phone, really quick and wonderful features that you wish the iPhone had. make sure to buy a transfer cable in for when you buy it so you can have all your iPhone details on it, all I wanted was photos so I just used photobox! I love this phone.

you can uninstall some apps, but most of the preinstalled Software isn't removable. but you can deactivate those apps so they won't be displayed in you App draw.

I have been using the phone for about 2 months now. The phone has got serious issue with Blue Tooth devices. Sony does not want to help and keeps blaming other apps while the problem is reproducible with their apps. Think twice before buying this phone.

Do you think that it's worth buying the Z5 compact? I really need a new phone but I can't pick. I'm really doubting between the Z3 and the Z5 compact, if you're wondering why not Z5 is bc it's just too expensive. I don't need anything special never use camera etc. All I want is a good display to watch youtube/movies on, audio/speaker quality has to be good and hard. Processor has to be fast and battery life has to last long. Is the Z5 compact a good choice or should I go for the Z3?

Z series couldn't cut the deal anymore. i used to be a compact lover with the z3 compact. 1 year ++ battery fcked up, i dont even play games lol. then memory card spring fcked up. when the battery is fcked up it bloats and fcuks up the motherboard by bending it and the front screen will peel off and the proximity sensor fcuks up. And when all that happens and you take it to the shop, the technician fcuks you up with his fcuked up prices. Might just well buy a new one. I was so frustrated i sold if off cheap and bought me self a redmi note 2 with 3 times lesser the price and had to move on with a 5.5 inch. don't get this massacre of a phone. The parts are just too expensive and built quality is summed up on glues. Its not like what you think it is when you hold it. I can see why Sony ditched the Z series and went to X series. Doesn't make any difference though. Ridiculously priced phones with nothing much to offer. They used to be good in the beginning with xperia M and reasonable pricing. I would avoid Sony at the moment, just go for Xiaomi or oneplus X. At least the price isn't ridiculous.
