Sony Xperia Z5 Not Powering Solution

This is a possible solution to get a Sony Xperia Z5 to power back up again, granted i called it a Z3 in the video, my mistake...
But this would be a possible solution for that model also

thank you this really helps me big time 1. the charger chip was already diconnected when I open the case thus observed no power supply your solution (re-connect it) result (now it boot-up and display) 2. battery not charging your solution (brush and clean the charging phone port with little alcohol on the brush) result (phone battery now charging) your guidance is a GREAT HELP! no $$$$ spend thank you and God Bless always!

Hi I need your help, basically my sony xperia z5 has a glitch where it randomly shuts down thinking its at 0% when its clearly at 70% or more (which is presumably due to my phone being on android 7.11) and its really annoying me. Anyway I can fix the glitch?

sounds like a buggered/ old tired battery. Replacement of battery would be needed, but the age of the phone i would suggest replacement

Hi, I dropped my Z5 from about 40 cm in height and now it's not powering back on.... I opened it and disconnected the battery and when I connected the charger with disconnected battery the screen is lighting up with Sony logo every 6 seconds and then it goes black again and after 6 seconds it lights up and then goes black again. After that I connected the battery an left it to charge for a few hours and it still doesn't want to turn on, when I disconnected the battery once more the screen is lighting up again with sony logo and going black every 6 seconds in some kind of loop. I really don't know what could be the problem, could maybe the battery itself be the problem. I would be really grateful if you could help me.

possible thats a faulty battery but i would think its pretty unlikely

It was actually a faulty battery. I swapped the old one for a new one and now everything woks just fine 🙂.

I have xperia z5 that cant turn on I tried to turn it on, it shows charging screen with 0% battery When I plug it in, sometimes it just show 0%, not charging, sometimes it shows that it is charging, but the battery never go up and always restarting without even pressing the power button Can you give alternative solution other than shown in this video? You will need to charge your battery externally then put back in the phone Purely to recover data

possible that its that, i would recommend using a USB Amp Reader, to see if the charger port is drawing in any power at all? if it is drawing 0.00amp then i would suspect a broken charger port
