Sony Zeiss 24-70mm f4 Auto Focus Rattling Fix - Part 1 of 3

This is the first of a 3-part video that i have made, documenting the step-by-step process of solving the rattling auto-focusing mechanism of the Sony Zeiss 24-70mm f4 AF lens.
Got an opportunity to purchased this lens in a faulty condition with the intention to try and and fix the problem. Did some research on the web and came across this documentation by the team at www.lensrentals.com/blog/2015... ...Thanks guys!!! you helped me save a lens.
That gave me the confidence to carry out this repair/service and the main tools and equipment for this service & repair are:
1) Fine Optical Screwdriver - Phillips Head
2) Epoxy glue for gluing of loose AF part.
3) General cleaning tools
4) Cotton buds/swabs to clean off debris and dust.
5) Lens dust blower.
Hope that this video give those out there an idea on how to fix it yourself if the lens is out of warranty.

Hi bro with your guidance i successfully disassembled my lens because of back focus issue even in manual focus also it blurred in captured photo and assambled and i found my coil glue was good but back focus issue not solved so i adjusted that white plastic screws in inside and my problem was increased now how can i adjust it to previous position to achieve perfect focus position

Hi, thanks so much for the video! It was very helpful. I managed to repair the rattling sound but my focus is still not working. any ideas what my issue could be? maybe the electrical connectors on the lens or the pcb isn't connected properly? any help is really appreciated

Hi. Thanks a lot for the video. I’m having a problem with the same lens. It fall being attached to the camera and the mount base plate bend, now it’s curvy at some point. It’s there any chance to fix that? I’ll be really thanked if you can help me. Good luck!! Thanks a loy.

sel2470za fe sony it if I want to remove only the objective lens? large front lens If the rubber doesn't come off How can I do it? Due to dust mold on the frontmost front lens

I have a Sony 24-70 f/2.8 ZA lens and the front barrel is loose and now the zoom is binding. Any ideas on a fix short of sending it in?

I did not drop or knock my 24-70 , i am having the same issue? Is using the epoxy glue a perm fix or just temporary ?

help, my lens does not have this problem What other solution can be I want to repair it the area that you are pasting on my lens is well pasted even so it does not focus what can it be?

@@unclesullysprojects9379 this happened to the lens after a subsequent fall mind if it focused but something sounded inside it and it stopped focusing
