She's not just good at comedy alone...she has more range, she has done dramatic roles, Independent cinema in the 2000s. I really liked her performance in 3 Deewarein where she starred with Naseeruddin Shah and Jackie. And she was good in I am too. She tries to do a range of roles- it's just that mainstream commercial Bollywood typecast her in the 90s as a comedic actress. But she can do more.

She was stereotyped as the "comedic" actress, even though her range is greater in reality.
