In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. In the first movie Eddie wants to get rid of Venom. In the 2nd they were fighting like a married couple. In this film they're ready to fight by putting their lives in danger and sacrifice for each other. I really love their friendship and how it developed throughout the films.

Tom Hardy as Venom is one of those things that's just an absolute delight and I'm glad he's got a proper trilogy. Whether or not he ever gets a Deadpool-&-Wolverine-like chance to cross the Spider-Verse and play around in the MCU (which I still DEEPLY hope he does), he's made these films ridiculously enjoyable and far more memorable than they'd've had any right to be otherwise.

They're probably setting up MCU Venom in a different way... Two adaptations of Venom at the same time would get confusing for casual fans... Plus if Sony and Marvel have at least two brain cells between them, it's clearly profitable idea to pit Venom against Spider-man... They may be setting up Toxin to take over so they can continue with a separate symbiote story while the MCU gets to play with Venom for a bit.
