To be honest, Lea isn't like a perfect perfect fit. She has tendencies and character traits that doesnt really help her manage life with Shaun perfectly. But the fact that they make it work is one of my favourite parts. They both need to consciously work and adjust. We see it a lot even after their marriage. They dont fit like puzzle pieces. But they make it work. They love each other enough to work. Love doesnt always mean a picture perfect look.

I never felt that Carly was good for Shaun. What I get from her behaviour is that she wants to exclude everyone from Shaun's life from the start, not just Lea. It's like she wants to get her hands on a trophy. It's no coincidence that Shaun can't accept her advances. Lea, on the other hand, has loved Shaun as a person from the start, and the only reason she can't see herself in a relationship is her own self-doubt and emotional neediness, which she tells Shaun from the start.
