actually not really. He is a Clever fellow but not a smart one. Because he only has a concept without any clue on how to execute it. The two things that the Sharks liked was the Scooter itself and the App experience. And this is all about scaling with the right strategy after that. And the Sharks here can do a lot for him. Right now his 4 lacs revenue is a joke and from the way he negotiates, he cannot survive when other competitors show up in the market. The whole play is centered around idea and app experience with the ride quality being a bonus. So, its a good deal for both parties. Sharks got 50% of a company with potential as long as they can execute the plan they have in mind. And the guy got two very valuable partners or he would have been out of business in a couple more years and even wasted his time.

Some people are saying that Sharks have just trapped him due to his inexperience. Well, that's how sharks have learned and so would this guy. This is how everyone learns and gains experience in life. His company is literally at level 0 now and he is very young, there's nothing wrong with this deal from his perspective also. If he continues his business like this, even by owning 100%, he won't earn anything, while with the experience of Sharks, with 50% he would be earning much more, and later he might start other businesses also. 50% looks a big amount but if see, 50% of what? What does he have in his hand? Nothing. Sharks have to build the company almost from scratch, his company is as good as at ideation level.

I don't think, sharks gave him an unfair deal... Because 1st of all his product is not a scalable business & moreover he does not manufacture the product ,he is just a distributor. In my view it was a decent deal.i think Asneeer & vinita just wanted to help this innocent guy because 40 lakhs is not a small amount, it was truly a pure bet, it can go either way ,either profit or loss.
