Though Krishnadevaraya is tulu, he likes telugu very much because of its sweetness. He learnt telugu wrote so many granthas in telugu. He used to speak telugu in his sabha. 90% of his sabha members were telugu. As we know tenali Rama is telugu too.

I saw this episode in telugu and i was curious to know which language is this man's mother tongue in the hindi version (since there was perfect lip sinc when rama said telugu and amma chchanura babu in the telugu dubbed episode) . It is telugu in the hindi version as well :) and he did say aapke bhasha hamara bhasha ek hai wo h telugu! So glad that tenali rama's and krishnadevaraya's mother tongue was acknowledged in the hindi version too :p

in Humpi musium I read his books. His mother tongue was Kannada and Tulu. But, he also knews Telugu and Sanskrit too. By the way Krishnadevaraya is current Humpi & it's in Karnataka not in Andra. Due to state border it's spreadded in Telugu. SAB TV didn't did his ersearch properly.

Krishnadevaraya while he was ruling Vijayanagara empire, he dint show any difference in Kannada, Telugu, Sanskrit and Even Tamil, that's why if we try to know the actual language of Krishnadevaraya we'll have little confusion. But the thing is Telugu people take more pride of Krishnadevaraya when compare to Kannadigas. More importantly 7 of the Ashtadiggajas (The Eight Poets of the Court) are Telugu people and most importantly Tenali Rama and Dhurjati are Telugu People
