The temperature and weather! We totally forgot to talk about that lol. It’s funny you ask because it was much cooler (in temp) than we expected. Last time we visited it was September, hot and humid, like mid-upper 80s F temps most of the day. This time, March, the high was no more than 79-80 for a couple hours but low 70s and 60s most of the day with the night going as low as 50. And it was quite windy (cool breeze). We were wearing sweaters a lot but it was really pleasant weather overall.

Since you visited La Paz, I offer another classic book to read - The Pearl by John Steinbeck. A very short story, but very meaningful for understanding what in life is truly valuable. By the way- all the classic books are free PDFs to download to your phone , computer, or tablet.

I'm a Mexican-American living in Puebla and my gf and I are thinking about moving to La Paz towards the end of the year, just a bit worried about the kind of job opportunities in case our remote work salaries will barely make ends meet as we receive a decent income for the part of the country we're in more south and inexpensive, wondering how the job situation is? currently part time tattooer and full time online medical and legal Spanish-English interpreting wondering how the move and job market there could work.
@EatBailaTravel9 ай бұрын
Hey! Awesome to connect with more 🇲🇽🇺🇸🤗 as La Paz is a growing city I think that points to economic growth and job opportunities also, especially for bilingual people. A tattoo business would be great there. We saw tons of tatted people and only a few tattoo shops. Lots of tourists like to get souvenir tattoos so I think that’d be a great business for you.

La Paz is already very expensive. You have to set prices into perspective for purchasing power parity. Mexico's average income is around 10k a year! That's before expenses. Now look at prices in La Paz and the rest of Mexico. It's very expensive for them. There are places in the world where you pay local prices and not the prices foreigners and investors have pushed real estate prices to.

Ive heard that the locals in LA PAZ aren't as welcoming towards foreign tourists as other coastal locations, but I cant speak from experience. Im sure it has something to do with getting priced out iof their on city by overpriced high rise resorts and Air b&bs. Can't blame them for that. One day you're a simple fishing village, the next you're Puerto Vallarta.
@phatmonkey119 ай бұрын
Love your channel and videos. IMHO La Paz isn't so great. I've been there twice driving through Baja. I can't think of any "city" in the Baja that is truly worth a visit. Baja itself is pretty awesome though. We just spent 2 months driving through the mainland and my new favorite city is Puebla. I doubt I'll ever go back to Oaxaca - it was my 4th time in 20 years and it's officially ruined by gringos. There's even anti-gringo graffiti everywhere now. Guadalajara is still good. Puerta Vallarta is an unholy hell, in addition to cops everywhere pulling people over (including me). There are still some good secrets along the Pacific coast. And some good places in the Eastern part of Mexico, especially if you're whitewater kayakers like us. I'll add Fonatur is paying fast and loose with the whole "Pueblo Magico" thing. We were in Coatapec, which is a Pueblo Magico, and lasted 2 days. The hiking around there is plagued with machete wielding locals, Coatapec is run by the Cartel (according to locals), the traffic is terrible on both the streets and the sidewalks. The town itself is meh. After 10 trips to Mexico, several of them driving, and spending 10 months there in all and seeing most of the states (Chiapas is my favorite) I'm off to Italy 😁 But obviously I love Mexico! Lastly, folks that are watching KZbin to figure out where to explore, beware. None of them make videos with titles like "Queretero - It's just Okay"🤣

This comment made me laugh. I am in Queretaro at the moment and it does not compare to other cities like Morelia and Guanajuato.
