Here’s something odd I noticed: In the Book of Bill there’s a joke about Bill Being Phineas’s biological father. This jumped out at me because, a few months back, Alex (the creator of gravity falls and voice of Bill) posted an Instagram story asking people who they thought he was voicing. One of these options was Phineas’s biological father. Around this time, book of bill would have either been completed already, or it was being wrapped up. I think this means Bill is going to be seen again, maybe a cameo, maybe more gravity falls!

I was rewatching the show after reading the Book of Bill and I was just thinking about the time paradoxes that could've come into play and the thought that, yeah, Bill was right. There are so many instances where the Pines family/ main cast should've and would've died in alternate universes. Fight Fighters? Dipper could've been burned or beaten to death. Zombies? Turned into one or exploded, even if Soos was one who died they've had to mourn his death and be depressed after that incident. The time travelers pig? Dipper could've not done anything and Mabel would've been standing outside long enough to actually die because of her obsession over Waddles. Dipper would've delt with Globbnar alone and would've died at Blendin's hands in the future. The chances of Mabel also using her grappling hook in time during Gideon Rises to save her and Dipper from the fall is also insane.

Given all this plus the TBA aspect of one of the DS3 panels, I feel like there's at least some spin-off being planned, whether a mini-series, a game, or a book series.

I found them a day or two into the insanity of this ARG after I googled the lyrics on a hunch. You're really naive if you *actually* believe Alex when he says that these are true technical difficulties. First rule of Gravity Falls: TRUST NO ONE. And that includes Alex. There's no way they would have set up a complicated "error" page with like a dozen quotes on a randomizer, an overlay of Bill's eyes on Soos, links to a Great Gatsby pdf that's hosted on the website itself, links to the Lofi music, and set up a triple check of a well-is-it.txt text file if this downtime was by accident.

This Arg could easily lead to a new season reveal or maybe a spinoff. It’s possible. For example the band “Twenty One Pilots” did a similar thing to announce one of their albums. Fans had to search for codes and finish a puzzle to unlock the release date for a new single and the album itself. Right after the fans cracked everything, they started their usual marketing. Its on brand for something similar to happen with Gravity Falls.

Okay, so, I may be over thinking this. I have been seeing a lot of things about "Some Sunny Day" and ??-??-26. I think I may have solved it. I could be overthinking. So I downloaded the Great Gatsby pdf and I clicked the "word search bar" I then searched the word Eckleburg. i personally think gravity falls may return with a season 3. why? well i have a theory, that mabel and dippers parents got into a divorce which would explain why they shipped the kids to gravity falls for the ENTIRE summer. it seemed like they had no choice to. they didn't want mabel and dipper see them fight, or their parents, probably knew stan was a criminal but they still did it. and then after gravity falls and the kids got back home, they didn't need to come back next summer, since i assume their parents are married to someone else and they don't fight. so it has been what like 8 years since the end of gravity falls and the kids turned 13 at the end so 13 + 8 equals 21. meaning if gravity falls returned the kids including all the other kids (candy, grenda, pacifica, etc..) would be a lot older. that would also make sense because alex tweeted that he hated working for disney and confirmed there will be no season 3. but alex is friends with the guy who made rick and morty which is on adult swim. so we may see a season 3 of the kids grown up on adult swim. and i don't think they would build this much hype for just another graphic novel. OR in an interview, alex said he may talk disney into making a mini series with ford and stan and it could only be one season (maybe idk)
