I remember years ago when I got a para ordnance warthog, everyone made fun of it. Said how silly it was to have a short gripped double stack 1911.... Little do they know that about a decade and a half later all these companies would be trying to make guns exactly like the Warthog. For the technology used it was ground breaking do they have issues sure but now in today's world these new companies are really on the game of technology and make firearms that are both better built but more importantly they run. BUL armory is a company that is doing some fantastic firearms. I wish Smith and Wesson and Ruger start to up their game with some double stack pistol in the very near future. And keep them affordable like what Springfield just did. Like the steel framed M&P they just came out with great idea just a few years behind some of the other companies that did it years ago. And we that know how important a 1911 is in any caliber your better off with one than without one. Same as a double stack your better off with it than not!!

I've been thinking about changing up my EDC pistol for the 1st time in about 3 years running. This is going to be my choice I think. I'm VERY partial to my CZ P01 compact. I've gone back to it so many times it's the GOAT for me. It's made for my hands I think. Once I got used to the DA trigger reach. After a custom hammer and trigger job, it's hard to find anything I like better. The Shadow 2 compact WAS going to be my choice, but I think I'm going this way. I used to carry a Colt MKIV series 80 officer's model. I loved it. Just not enough ammo capacity. Your review has made up my mind. I'm saving some $ in a piggy bank. Thanks SOOTCH00! Great review.

Nice review sootch! I have both, this and the Ultra Light 1911 8+1 rd. single stack ($950.00), I shoot the Ultra Light better for some reason, but I like this SAS II UL a lot. One of the reasons this is about 500 to 700 less than a Staccato C2 is because most of the control parts are MIM parts, which some people don't like, but there is nothing wrong with MIM parts, mostly when they are of such high quality as the parts on this little gun; I detail stripped this pistol and the parts that appear to be machined from solid stock are the hammer, the sear, and the disconnector, which are the parts that matter if you are into hating MIM parts, but I am not sure if they are machined or MIM, but all the parts that are usually fitted into a 1911 appear to be fitted as well even though they are MIM parts. The Staccato is all made with machined parts made from solid stock, which are also fitted into the gun, and it is made in Texas so there you go, long live the republic :) On my unit the sights came loose on my third range session, after about 500 rounds (not a single malfunction with JHP, which is what I had available), a little blue lock-tite fixed the problem; the rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation BTW, and the pattern for the red dot is the Shield RMSc or the SigSauer Romeo Zero RDS, I think it can also accept the Holosun 507C x2. The grip module is a little slippery for my taste but I agree with almost everything you said. You should also review the Ultra Light single stack, I think you'd be impressed when you test fire it. God bless America indeed!

Scooth, I love your videos! I have this exact gun and is my EDC! I have the staccato and a 1972 A1, and like shooting the newest version of the SAS II 3.25 Ultralight better than either, oddly enough! I appendix carry, and I still trying to figure out the advantages of the redesigned hammer and beaver tail. Lol. The bobbed hammer and extended beaver tail are still digging in to my gut in some scenarios, and I'm in fairly good shape. Recoil, speed of shooting, and staying on target, however, are so amazing! Plus just the overall comfort of all day carry. Size, weight, along with capacity. It's, got to be the best choice of a self defense gunfight, sans somebody who isn't trained to handle muscle memory of 1911 safety release needs.

My lord this just replaced the DS prodigy for next pistol after I get my XC and C2 (and probably the 10mm M&P) that’s a smooth operator right there

I waited 6 months to get mine and it was worth every penny.

Wow! That is a hot little number. As small as practical but flat shooting. Aluminum frame steel slide and stainless steel fluted barrel. High capacity and double stack. Just a fully concept concealed carry 2011.

Great Review I'm getting one if I can find one ..

The only problem with these is you can't get them at the advertised price. The only way to get them is to pay Staccato-level prices on GB. So they are not really a less expensive alternative to the Staccato.

Guns that get these guys smiling might be worth taking a look at. I don’t have any 1911s. Yet. Thx youins for the look

Forget Prodigy, C2, etc, I want the flutes! Only issue with the BUL is availability!

When I started shooting almost every handgun had a safety. I hated when so many guns came out with the dingus like Glock. I can adjust but I like my 1911’s!
