I remembered watching the Sooty and Co on ITV back in the 90's when I was very young. I really do enjoying watching the show and I do wished the whole series is finally released onto complete DVD collection at last.

I went to Ffestiniog railway last month, great they visited it. Sooty was also on the same number coach as us 118 12:50 Went on engine called Lyd but saw the engine they went on few years ago when drove past the line. Odd how Sweep is allowed to drive Camper in this episode, after Speedy Sweep.

I'm surprised Matthew didn't recognise the mountain climbing instructor, because he bumped into him off-duty when he, Sooty and Sweep got lost on the way to that Welsh farm five episodes earlier.

As this was the Penultimate Episode they could've done a storyline with Matthew saying this was The Last Straw & he was leaving Sooty & Friends for good, hence Richard & Leanna getting introduced to take Matthew's place

Part of me wonders if perhaps Matthew was experimenting a little with what he wanted to do after he retired from _Sooty_ . Listen, for instance, to his monologue about the village of Portmerion, and its use in _The Prisoner_ : Doesn't it sound a little like the sort of thing he would later do in _Locks & Quays_ ? There's lots of other little bits throughout _Sooty & Co_ that give me that impression as well.

In previous Sooty and Co. episodes, Sweep is not allowed to drive the camper van because he can't drive. But he's driving it in this episode?

Yeah I thought that.... great minds think alike, remember seeing this brand new on TV, also went Ffestiniog back in August and was on coach 118 same as Sooty 12:50

Portmeirion was actually built between 1925 and 1975, not 1926 and 1972. Matthew should've done some thorough research about the time period in which the village was built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. Still, great to know about the history.
