Thankyou Ms Gunjan for your appreciation. In majority universities in India Research Proposal is called a synopsis. In case you are indeed referring to the document or synopsis that is submitted in the very beginning of phd journey or while filling up the application form then that synopsis is the same as Research Proposal.

They have no set pattern and also varies with departments But usually descriptive related to your subject. .
