Loved it and loved all the 62 comments below, all of them way more erudite than your pal in Toronto! ... And I delighted that school-girl Sophia played this concert quality piece in her PJs! ... Way to go gurl!

That is a _fantastic_ interpretation of this piece - just beautiful.
Some pieces are easier than they sound, but this one is harder - much harder - than it sounds! I like how you put care into every single note, and don’t just gloss over it to try to go as fast as possible. Keep up the good work!

I agree with your opinion! In fact, I can play faster, but I think the composer would prefer to deal with each note more clearly and maintain the "Saltarelle" style. Thank you!

@@SophiaLiu_Pianist I wonder if you have played Le Vent, Op. 15, No. 2? If you have good enough fingers to handle all these repeated notes cleanly, I’m sure you can handle the seemingly endless chromatic scales in Le Vent.

I haven't played this piece, but I know it. The tenths in the left hand is quite difficult for me. It requires not only flexible and strong fingers, but also long-lasting endurance. Thank you!

-there *is* a god, after all-stunning playing, and the handling of the coda with such aplomb, at 12, no less! I digress, perforce, into the womb of my musicianship, such as it is, or was, and marvel from afar at the grace of that which is becoming Sophia Liu.

Fabulous technique for someone so young. And I appreciate that you didn't wish to play this too fast - that shows musical maturity. As I've said before your pianistic future is very promising indeed, so keep up the excellent work!

Oh my gosh! An actual video performance of this piece! I think there are other videos but they aren't really performances. But that's so cool, congratulations! And you play it so well! I'm wondering though, the left hand sounded different in many spots, is this because of discrepancies between editions? I've never owned a physical copy of it so I don't know for sure.

This is after endless practice. You have every right to flex lmao. This is interesting I've never heard this before. No doubt you can play reminiscences de Don just an or Gaspard de la nuit maybe in 2 years
