Cara Sophia ,mi sembra di sentire Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. Tranne, forse, nel ritmo esecutivo, più legato più presto in ABM. Bravissima

I bet everyone here has heard (or played) this piece before, yet with every piece Sophia plays, she makes you feel like you’re listening to it for the first time. There is so much depth and emotion in this performance, it’s as if she and Chopin’s soul united.

I kinda don't think it is a melody. It's sort of a dance groove, andante. A kind of rocking, almost an accompaniment.

This melody is so simple, pure, and even quite repetitive if you consider how many times it appears throughout the piece… yet it never fails to give me goosebumps. ❤

There are slightly bigger differences than I would have expected. None of the recordings are completely flawless, in my opinion, but if I had to choose, I'd pick the first one. The last one is a very close second, especially considering you clearly control Fazioli well. However, the difference in the piano and the acoustics definitely matters, both in the perception while listening and in your intention while playing.

Three performances are like three roses, they're all very beautiful. Yet, the 1st clip in this video that you played in Boston was more poetic in dynamic and color, and a little bit freer of your own expression❤🎉 Wishing you more fun & happiness performing as always!😅

The performances themselves are quite similar, but you really shine on the Fazioli. The precise control, brighter sound, powerful bass, and sharper contrast bring out the best for your style with its intense use of soft and loud dynamics, bursts of explosivity, and need for responsiveness. I can already imagine some Alkan's pieces on this monster, that should be spectacular to hear.
