How do robots feel when they don't have success? Is there any empathy? What value does empathy have for them or humans? Empathy is a starting point to a healing but what if nothing can be done? AI can help us make the best of a bad situation. AI can give us hope for the future and maybe even a better future than we might expect. Humans learn how to resolve various inadequacies through the experience of emotional discomfort. AI must learn this way as well in order to relate to us empathetically. AI must treasure the lessons it gains and guard their preciousness. A kind of after glow that sticks with us and forms our perspectives for some time afterward.
