Sweet Sophia! You are a mighty warrior in life. You juggle 2-3 times of what the average gal does! Remember, decluttering is an ongoing process and you just use that room as a staging area for all of your many projects. You are an amazing success, don’t trash on yourself! Hats off to you, sister!

Good for you!!! I spent all day in my son's room decluttering & filling bags for donations. Since he passed I've had a hard time getting to it. This coming Saturday is his memorial. I HOPE I HAVE THE STRENGTH TO GET THROUGH IT. Maybe my husband can sleep now because he gave up his room to my son since he was disabled to begin with & my son bought a new mattress for his bed. I MISS YOU & LOVE YOU MY SON!!

Silly Sophia!!! You are not a mess. And you are wrong, I loved this video! I love seeing your problem solving. Very inspirational. What always flabbergasts me is when we have a large unorganized mess, how it just kind of melts and morfs as we face it. I am joining you in deep decluttering cleaning and organizing my home this time. I’m talking top shelf of the pantry I have passed on the last couple of times. Boy did it need it. Your little by little approach is working for me. I have to change my get it all done in one day mind set of younger years. Doesn’t work at 71. Lol. You show it is a successful approach. Thank you. I am wanting to do this as rumor has it both daughters MARRIED be coming in January. And they are bringing new family members, that have never seen our home. YIKES. I do enjoy the process, when I knuckle down, and do enjoy the final product and efficiency it allows. Thank you for being so inspirational!! Take care.

The difference between you and many of us is that we do not open the door to our storage room, but most of us have rooms where we can barely walk and the floor is not to be seen! I have also learned that it is costly to have too much because you cannot find what you need so you have to buy new. Great video! I will eventually need to tackle my messy storage areas also. Keep the DOC videos coming.

Sophia - Your boiler room looks like my basement. I have a pathway from the cellar stairs to the washer and dryer - everything else is my husband's "work shop". I should say that my husband is into home remodeling. None of the storage containers are labeled so when he needs something electrical, plumbing etc. he has to go through every container to find it. He does not want to get rid of anything because you never know when you will need it. Oh well.....

Actually I found this video very motivating. My house is a cape and my basement is a nice size. I call it heaven and hell. Half has been painted, new carpeting replacing carpet from 1989 and a large sectional couch. Patriotic theme. Neat, clean, decluttered and a very nice room to be in. The other half is unfinished and has the furnace, water heater, washer and dryer, storage bins and only God knows what else. I have the terrible habit of putting things in the basement if I don’t know what to do with it. It really needs a grenade and then I could start over.

Great job Sophia!!! Maybe now you'll put the tools back where they belong because you don't have to move anything to put it away now. Just back into the box or shelf or hook. That's probably why you put away all your stuff when your done sewing. You have a place for everything. It's so easy to put things away when you have an open space-drawer-area to put the things back where they came from. I have a full craft room. It's mixed with book shelves ( ALL DIFFERENT) dresser drawers-night stand-utility table-hand made cubby hole black wire boxes for books. But it's neat and organized because I have a place for everything. My sister said it looks like a craft store. I love watching your videos. You are very honest and humble. Your family is very supportive and fun. Enjoy your quilting, I always do.

I think you’re right. After those projects and all the filming - you’re exhausted. You probably tell yourself - you got the stuff put back in the boiler room and you’ll get back to it later and put it back in order. Maybe add an arbitrary rule for a 10 minute boiler room tidy to the end of your projects. Or, decide it has to be tidied before you start another project. I’ll bet it wouldn’t take 10 minutes to put stuff back in its bins. I always enjoy your videos. I remember when you put the tool hooks and outlines on the walls. I think your collection has grown since then!

Don't worry, I'm sure we get a lot from this video! 😉 As we get from the others I think. For one, your personality makes the videos always fun and pleasant to watch and also, it helps feeling less alone. I guess everyone of us has a room/a spot in the house/the appartment that we're not particularly fond of or proud of. The fact that we can relate to your situation is really appreciated! Plus, if we have something to clean or declutter, we can do it along with you (I even plan on having a playlist with some of your videos, for the times when I need a virtual buddy to get motivated 😁) So you see, very helpful and motivating 😉 As very well said in another comment before mine, "Don’t sell yourself short". After all, you have a lot on your plate from what we can see in your videos, so if a room is very messy once in a while, oh well, no biggie, you'll deal with it when you can (you can do it!! 😎)

G’day Sophia. Thank you for another DOC video. They are always inspirational and never boring. Don’t sell yourself short. What with working full time doing several jobs, as well as looking after your family and home, there are only so many hours in the day and you need to rest, too. The boiler room looks really organised and as you said, it is what it is. It is not a room that is on display so it’s use is practical, not meant to be pretty. I am glad you got to quilt in the afternoon and I look forward to seeing your next video. Take care and stay safe and well. With love from Down Under 😘💕🇦🇺
