Sophie Cunningham Wants To Team Up With Caitlin Clark?!

Clark's passes are a thing of beauty . Her team is so well rehearsed , they make moves to get into position and the ball goes straight to them without hesitation . They know the ball is coming and the passes are clean and fast and precise . They get their shots away without interferance . It's jaw dropping juat how fast it happens. It's about practice and trust . The Fever team all depend on each other !

I'm watching how Caitlin Clark includes her team in plays and doesn't grandstand making all the shots herself. She has increased the numbers for her team's performance, and I think it's making her team more interested in playing better and even making some plays like she does. IT'S EXCITING TO WATCH!

As a former four sport female athlete, D1 athlete, US athlete and coach of three high school varsity programs, I’ve been in a unique position to experience play as a girl and women at every level of one sport and many levels of several sports. That experience has me noticing something across all women’s sports - not just basketball. First - about Caitlin… It’s funny that the players don’t notice that when people compare Caitlin to some of the greatest players of all time, all of those players are men. That’s because there is no woman who has come close to what Caitlin has accomplished at the same age. Sue Bird is the only one who had a similar playing style at the same position but even she admits that Caitlin is something special and has called her a generational player. What women - and especially coaches - need to realize is that the way women have been coached and trained has built some really great players, but there’s a whole new higher gear athletes have shifted into across every sport and Caitlin is showing that gear to the world in women’s basketball. Her training regimen, her coaches’ methods should be duplicated across the sport because she’s inspiring young girls and women to want to be like Caitlin. The moment is here - the players are ready to work - the question is, what former standout women’s high school, collegiate and WNBA players are going to make the transition to coaching - to step up and coach these girls, giving back to the sport that gave to them. Having worked with both men and women as a player and a coach, I will way that we need more women coaches - more Lisa Bluder’s - women speak a different language than men - they connect differently - understand each other through an unspoken language driven by completely different hormones and motivations than men. And it would be nice for women - who started in sports in dresses, heels and corsets because men said it’s what we had to wear - to finally dictate their own path in their sport for a change. It’s how you grow a sport that’s by women, for women and proud to pay women. If men want to be a part of our sport, let them put up or shut up. Men can be a part of our sport by supporting their daughter’s desire to play, by getting them to practices when Mom’s at work, by watching games with them at home and analyzing play, but taking them to games and cheering on women so that their daughter’s SEE their dads, their brothers, their grandfathers, their uncles and male cousins watching and supporting women’s sports - buying their gear and wearing it. Men need to play their role in keeping this going and women need to lead the girls of the future. Can I get an Amen? 😂 (since I feel like I’m preaching now). Thx.

LOL Clearly the haters haven't been watching the sellout playoffs. It's a shame ESPN isn't doing replays of game one in the finals. That was one of the most intense games I ever watched. I love Clark and she is great for the league. But this narrative they can't survive without her is a slam on players like Napheesa Collier, and Aja Wilson. Both led their teams to the final four and deserved the MVP I think CC would agree.

When I was 25 yrs old the last thing I wanted to do is follow some 42 yr old around . All you young playersblack , white straight or lesbian have fun and hang out together. Fact , they’re 40 yrs old and wish they could be your age so they are angry people taking you down with them . I know I’m old but not dumb ! Where would she be put and who would be having to leave. Point Guard, Fever have at least two other guards. They have a pretty face on the team Hull, Boston and Mitchell. Being age 28 and marginal play is not what is needed. Can she defend. Unless she can outperform Lexie, one would be having to keep the bench a bit warm. They need a top notch forward with skills in layups, blocks, steals and passing to Boston. That limits about only maybe 10 players in the league, if any. What is needed would be another Clark only can block, steal and hit five to nine feet from the basket and at least eighty-five percent on hitting foul shots. Stand around 6'4" with some grit only that leaves out anyone who could play for the Fever being that all those would be Wilson, Aja Wilson or Stewart.
@robertstanford17784 ай бұрын
Sophie would be great but they still need another big on the wing that can shoot, run and play D a true centre would be great as well. Then Lexi and Temi could come of the bench.
