Quite correct. Though the sad lyrics were incredibly written and brings context of emotion, the actual music/melody is simple and “happy”. I suppose that contradiction in itself makes it genius.

As for Samantha who, when she sang the version I referred to, ALW said "That's one of my most difficult songs as it goes right across the break of a girls voice and she just does it effortlessly".
