I haven't watched Saltburn and likely won't, yet Sofie Elis Baxtor is capturing my attention since a long time. From the moment I first heard her singing "I know, I know, I know..." more than two decades ago, I recognized her exceptional talent. She's not only a stunning woman and mother of three, with her oldest already 19 - time flies! - but also possesses remarkable vocal and dance skills. Her Charleston on Strictly Come Dancing is a performance I revisit often, still wondering why it didn't secure her the win. Her home concerts during the pandemic on KZbin are unforgettable. In times of sadness, her songs like "Take me home" and "Me and my imagination" uplift me, her voice kindling a belief in the better angels of our nature. The success she enjoys now is undoubtedly deserved. Despite the passing years, Sophie's energy and shape are impressive. I'm eagerly hoping for her next tour to come to Bonn or Cologne, Germany.
