Ms. Gregoire was a well-known broadcast journalist in Québec before dating Justin, but stepped away from that because of the obvious conflicts. By the way, taking her husband's surname was a late change to appease the Rest of Canada. Here in Québec the norm would have been to just use her own surname, which she was doing until Justin became the Liberal leader.

These are empty vessels that abuse in order to make themselves feel as though they are doing good, ignoring any clear violations and accountability of how the cause irreversible harm. Influence MUST come from those who actually have full comprehension of what integrity means. When it is clear they have mismanaged and rectified wrongs with more wrongs repeatedly, and are in-stable to a very worrisome degree/ were fine covering for and enjoying perks of a (now declared) poor relationship only when she understood what public and private sectors knew/ felt of her husband...... there ought to be a publication ban (like they do to others they feel threatened by or fawn to hope emulating in secret). These are not good humans. They pretend to be and are so deluded that even their crimes get covered up on tax payer dime, with more crime. The clock stopped. She’s giving people advice, and if she’s not qualified to do so that could potentially be damaging. There is plenty of pain out there from people believing other people owe them things, and being angry and hurt because they’re not getting what they feel they’re owed. Mental health is health just as is physical health. Professionals have years of training for a reason.

She did say that she and husband discussed and communicated before taking the step of separating. Even when people love each other , it is not a guarantee of a happy marriage when partners are not available to shoulder day to day stressful events. To add to all that, was Covid-19. Her husband was responsible for a whole nation’s. Welfare of life and death. We all give very little thought of how senior public officials could have organized and worked to keep majority of us at our homes by paying us to do so. We have come to a point of not willing to understand or give thought to what is happening. None of us need to take sides, get involved or feel we have to judge. That's because in Canada, we don't have the "first lady" in politics. The Prime Minister's spouse is just that: their spouse. We don't expect the spouse to get involved in politics just because their significant other got elected. Mika probably used that phrase to make it easier to understand for an American audience. But understand, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau's contribution to politics was mostly as unequivocal supporter no. 1. Her charity work started before Justin was ever involved in politics.

Bottom line we are imperfect beings….. I agree that social interaction (touchy feely, connection etc) plays a role in our personalities but environmental and genetics are the most influential on personalities., I didn’t hear her touch on this! When I look at certain ppl in the news and the disgusting things they’re doing, I don’t see them as love starved individuals who perhaps were not hugged enough as a child but instead I see a genetic mutation in their chromosomes that’s caused a major flaw in their character thus exposing the severity of their mental health issues
