This will probably be one of the last Kate and Sophie episodes you will see until a few weeks before Xmas since Brooke Vincent is currently in the middle of a 10 week break and coronation street is filmed 6 weeks in advance.

The actress who plays Sophie has been on a 3 month break and is due back to return filming in a couple of weeks so there won't be any Kate and Sophie scenes until at least the end of January/early February.

+Harmonizer727 she got offered a lead role in a 8 week play and has been doing other stuff such as celebrity special game shows, I'm a celebrity guest, covering a Manchester radio breakfast show taking turns with the actress who plays Kate and a few others from Corrie. She's been back filming for 2 weeks now so she will be back on screen in like 6 weeks.

Sophie and Kate together would be boring and too predictable. Just like Aaron and Finn would have been in Emmerdale. Robron is so much better. It's been revieled that Kate and Sophie will be just friends and Kate will have new love interest and her identity will shock some viewers. Producer Kate Oates is known for bold and surprising storylines and she is very good in her job. I can hardly wait this new storyline.

There hasn't actually been a Kate and Sophie scene yet since Sophie returned.. Faye Brookes (Kate) has done lots of interviews lately and teased 3 different things happening in each 1 1) Teased Kate and Sophie getting together 2) Teased a love triangle between Sophie and Rosie over Kate 3) Teased a totally new love interest who isn't Sophie (but remain close friends) Last week she had a magazine cover/article with Gareth Gates (boyfriend) in OK! and she briefly mentioned preferring Kate to get with Sophie

Fingers crossed they will get together. May not be for a while though as Brooke has said she wants more storylines focusing on family rather than relationships, but Kate and Sophie I hope will happen.

Oh, secretly I am always wanting Kophie to happen! The fans definitely do and I always appreciate their support with that. Brooke has been in Coronation Street since she was a little girl and has grown up in this world so to have her by my side makes me feel like I’m a good place. I love Brooke to pieces - I can see Kate and Sophie, maybe and eventually falling for each other. But I do think it’s nice to tease the audience with that so as much as I wish it, it’s not happening any time soon, that I know of. I just wish love for both of them - both of them deserve a happy ending!
