Sophie Ties a Dirty Bomber

My 11 year old likes to tie salmon flies from time to time. What she enjoys most is to spin deer hair onto hooks to create 'dry' flies, or flies that float. There aren't the easiest flies to tie so i have to give her props for being able to tie as well as she does!

We just used this fly pattern on the Pinware River in Labrador with deadly results. Excellent fly tying by Sophie, many thanks for her efforts!

What material are you using for the orange? Rooster saddles?? Where can I find it. It looks alot longer than the basic bombers
