Ive started cutting all my thread with a common sewing thread ripper, it works so perfectly well! (and saves my scissors from hitting a hook shank, or tungsten bead ruining the edge!)

Beautiful tying job. I have tied some bombers but didn’t know there were specific bomber hooks. I always used salmon hooks or regular 4XL streamer hooks. Are bomber hooks longer or do they have a wider gape? I’m sure that bomber will work but can’t help but wonder what the fish think when they see it. One possibility: Tyer: Well that bomber was a good bit of work with all that packing, trimming & gluing, but it looks right & I feel proud of it. Fish: Is it a bird? A huge bug? No, it’s a ugly mess of confusion. I’m going to punish that tyer by taking it away from him! ;-)

Yeah, it would but It's a little on the light side. I use an 8-wt rod for cohos and Steelhead.

This is not now, nor will it ever be a paul white pattern. This was created by Dave Ryan who fished it for YEARS before paul ever started yelling it from the rooftops. Just because a loud voice gets the attention, it doesn't mean they deserve it. Great fly Dave!
