HI Sophie. My daughter and I were in Paris in June. I was laughing when you were visiting the Arc de Triomphe. We had the same issue of trying to cross the street to get to the arc. There is a tunnel under the street that you take to get to the arc from the Champs-Elysees. It saved us from a near death experience. Lol

Sophie, there is a underground passage to cross from Champs Elysses to the Arc de Triomphe haha! It is very dangerous to cross the way you did, Parisians seem crazy behind the wheel (didn't mean it in a offensive way, it's like they have to time to spare)! Of course, I totally did that on my first visit to Paris! Also, you were very brave to use the stairs to go up the Eiffel Tower! I never could do it, have to use the elevators. Love you vlogs!

You can also climb up the inside of the arc de triomphe and there is an amazing view with almost no line!

My heart was beating out of my chest at 2:00 when you both were trying to get across the street. How adorable are you and David teasing each other about the ice cream!! And don't worry about not getting to the second level, you were super brave getting to the first for us. I've been married for 38 years and you both remind me of me and my husband together many many years ago. I was at the top of the Eiffeltower. Brought my stepdaughter, who was silently crying for the 2 hours we stod in line, because she was afraid like you. We took the lifts and when we reached the top, she had forgotten all about the fear and was just in aw of it all. She has not shown any signs of trauma since and still remembers it as an amazing experience. 😊

It was so pleasurable watching this and your part 1 video. I have just recently come back from Paris. We spent 9 days there and then 7 days on a riverboat cruise through Bordeaux. So funny you mentioned that....I was talking to her through the computer saying there are steps and a tunnel that leads under the road to the other side. I took my sisters and I a bit to find the stairs when we were there. We knew we would go splat if tried to cross the road! LOL

When I went last summer, I got stuck on the elevator going up the Eiffel Tower. I never had a fear of heights before that point, but I later had a panic attack on a ferris wheel. I think David made the right call by staying on the ground!! Love your Paris vlog

How lovely Paris is and you and David are having a superb time. He is very patient and indulgent taking you to all those Dior and Chanel stores. Most men in New Zealand (not all) wouldn't have a bar of going shopping with their partners. The pink flowering trees are crepe myrtles (Lagerstroemia) - they are divine summer flowering boulevard trees.

Well done Sophie for going to the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, when I was there I chickened out of just waiting in that queue, and I would have had panic attacks going up those stairs as well. I agree with you about the stairs on the tower, I went about 15 years ago (went to all the places in Paris from the DIvinci Code book/dan BRown lol) and the stairs were shaking then , and kids were running up and down them as I was walking, it was so scary I thought it would collapse! Must shake more now than it did then as its older lol😲🙀😷hmmm wonder how long it will last, looks a bit rusty now lol
