This was a great video, thank you. I enjoyed watching you paint, and love that your characters are all soft-bodied women. I'm so glad to see more art in the world with soft bodies.

I really love the way you talk about art style being like handwriting, and talking about being surrounded by inspiration.

I love seeing the sketch from your sketchbook on the cover of this video as a painting! It's so great to see how your ideas and sketches in pen evolve into full colored paintings. I also love how the pack is transparent in the painting. It's such a gorgeous design!

i appreciate how you define your style/coming upon it. its wild to me there's so much focus on developing "style" but most folks have a warped view of how to even approach it. like there's formulas, like you can do it in a specific set of time, and like it's a straight shot, when at its essence it's just finding yourself/embracing who you are. so the bit you mention about loving your body (in a fatphobic society) is such a big deal. thanks for this!

I use the handwriting analogy every time people ask me how to “find” their style, I don’t think it ever really pleases people to hear it 😅😅 I think as a beginner it’s disheartening to hear that it’s something that just happens over time, and that it’s not an instant gratification you can achieve if you know just the right tips and tricks and secrets

It's the perfect analogy!! Thank you for your fantastic questions Misia!!!!

I love and appreciate all the beautiful soft bodies. It's a good reminder to us softer bodies that we're beautiful. With regards to books, Sarah Burns (on KZbin) self published 2 books (one about her art in Scotland and one about her artistic path). I think she has some videos where she talks about her experience a bit.
