Very helpful and I LOVE your English accent. Cheers Luv! One minor point, I saw a related video of a doctor saying that unless your using boiling water (don't do it) it doesn't matter what temperature you wash your hands, only boiling water kills germs, the soap does the rest. And he said just basic soap is as good as anti bacterial soap. Thanks again. Jaye from Chicago USA

@homoerotic854 жыл бұрын
Hey! You have to pour aloe vera in very slowly, while mixing quickly... It's best to use an emersion blender, or regular blender just don't use a whisk...I had the same problem first time I made it! Lol I just made another batch last night doing it like I said... It came out perfect!! I had my other half pour it in while I was mixing to make sure they both got done correctly as it's sometimes hard to do both your self especially if your new to diy products. Hope that helps!
@homoerotic854 жыл бұрын
Also, the reason why you don't want to use whisk is because the aloe send to stick and get caught in it and that makes it goopy as well.

Not a good recipe as does not contain sufficient amount of alcohol and the hydrogen peroxide is not needed. Also cinnamon essential oil should be used topically only by a clinical aromatherapist as it is a potential skin irritant. Rosemary can also be an issue depending on medication a person is on, the age of the user and health condition. Eucalyptus contains 1,8 cineole which can have contraindications for children, the elderly and specific medical conditions. A Great hospital grade 70% alcohol Hand Santizer Spray would be: # 34.05 mls 100% Isoprophyl Alcohol or Ethanol #12.99 mls Distilled Water # 1.46 mls Glycerine # 1.5mls of essential oil This makes a 50ml sprayer bottle. Alternatively: # 164mls 100% Isoprophyl Alcohol or Ethanol. # 74ml Distilled Water # 4.61ml Glycerine # 3% total of an essential oils blend which is about 193 drops of essential oils or 7.5 mls essential oil. This makes a 250ml ammount

There's some conflicting info between this and last video. Last video (wipes) says 70% alcohol is better than hand washing (soap and water). This video (spray) says 90% alcohol won't work if hands aren't washed first (soap and water). I love your recipes but I’m eliminating that one ingredient. Please check out the info then decide if you need to update the recipe. www.healthline.com/health/hydrogen-peroxide-skin#1
@ZeroThree334 жыл бұрын
@@CynDWatson You should not use Hydrogen Peroxide on your skin to wash hands or clean them - especially to protect from covid. The amount used within the W.H.O. recipe is insignificantly small and only intended to sterilize the sanitizer you made within the bottle before you start using it. It's not intended to protect from covid. It's considered an inactive ingredient. Technically, you should not use the homemade hand sanitizer for at least 72 hours after bottling to allow the tiny amount of peroxide time to kill any possible contaminants. Be warned that leaving this ingredient out of the mix could impact its efficacy. Also the resulting alcohol content is based on including the peroxide - so leaving it out would alter this result. You would have to change the entire recipes ratio to compensate for leaving it out.

I love your sanitizing spray, but I'm a little confused. In your video you said to dilute the 90% alcohol with 1/4 cup of water and the 70% with 1/3 of a cup, but you also said to dilute the 90% with more water. Since the 90% has a higher alcohol content shouldn't it be diluted more? I want to make sure I'm getting the measurements correct.
