I have wanted to do a cake with the verticle strips of wafer paper but the ones I saw I think were attached straight to the cake. This is such a great idea using the wafer paper as a wrap, so clever and makes it easier !

Gorgeous cake! Just to be sure, this design can't be placed in a refrigerator? Or can it? I place all my cakes in the frig. I live in Oklahoma, where the temp gets very hot, plus the road is very bumpy. So for me it's extra protection during travel.

Once the cake is completely finished, and all the wafer paper is attached to a fondant covered cake, can you refrigerate overnight? Will the wafer paper disintegrate from condensation when removed from the refrigerator the next day? Thank you for your info.
