It truly looks like a piece art. Absolutely breathtaking. Please don't apologize for a video that is long. Watching your videos is like having a friend come over to craft, and catching up while working. I know I can't be the only one who feels that way. Many of us are completely at home due to Covid. I am forever on bed rest. Hubby got me a rolling tray like they have in hospital rooms and that is what I craft on. I truly enjoy your videos and love our friendly chatting time.

I was so happy to see this - I just bought that stamp set. It’s gorgeous. I love long Kelly videos - no worries! I so enjoy hearing your stories - it’s like crafting with a girlfriend. I absolutely would rather hear your stories than listen to music while you color. Thanks, Kelly!

I really like the shaker card. I was worried about your family because you hadn’t posted anything for a while. I had to pack up my card making stuff as we bought a house and are moving next weekend. The Covid hit our family in the last two and a half weeks. Both my daughters, two granddaughters and grandson had it. My youngest daughter had to go to the hospital because she had a fever that would go away. She wasn’t making any antibodies so they gave her plasma antibodies from a person who donated plasma after they had recovered from Covid. My grandkids grandfather in Florida was in the hospital with Covid and passed away two weeks ago. You all please stay well, my husband who is 70 and I’m 69 so far have stayed healthy.

Love the card! As for the paint...I'm trying to think back...🤔. I know we used to sand each layer of paint after it dried, then wiped it clean. After the first coat of sealant, we used extra fine steel wool to sand with, but not dry.. we used it wet. It gets all the tiny bubbles, any little dust bits, fine brush strokes (a foam brush works best for sealants), then wiped clean with old t shirts, and applied final coat. I always remember how much harder refinishing anything during the colder month is because it takes forever for things to dry!

Long Kelly videos make me happy!!! Christmas shopping was definitely a challenge this year! I wanted to paint some old furniture with chalk paint...I bought a sample size and tired it. It made me say ALLLLLL the bad words. More than once😂😂😂 so the furniture never got painted!

Your cards are always so beautiful oh, and this one is no exception it is gorgeous! I really love the acrylic paint on the "window" and I don't think I would have thought of that. I expect that I speak for most that watch your videos, we love to watch you color, we love your story time, and so I was personally happy to see a longer video. Life has you super busy so it's been a couple weeks and I've missed my Kelly time. I'm glad this wasn't a really short video. I hope all y'all have a very merry and super blessed Christmas. And here's to 2021 may this covid-19 nightmare and very quickly!! My son is an RN, and his unit is once again all covid-19 patients. A few months ago it was all covid-19 patients, then they got to where they had none, now it's all covid positive again.

Girl, this is GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE listening to you!!! Anywho, I hope everything goes well with the china cabinet, watering down the chalk pant will possibly help. Perhaps the moisture and/or temperature probably has a lot to do with it. I've been staying away from my loved ones, ALL of my brothers & sisters are 65 and over...but, the decision is always up to the individual. Thanks so much for sharing your time, talent, creativity & life's journey!!! Stay safe & well, blessings & love always!!!

I love listening to you chat while you work. I've been crafting with friends over WhatsApp, and it feels similar listening to you. Like a girlfriend chatting while you work. I love the card...gorgeous! You don't need my advice but if you need to talk to someone who is pretty experienced on chalk paints, there is a store in Henderson, NV (or Las Vegas) where I live called Bloom. They teach classes in how to convert furniture and could probably answer a question for you if you need help. I'm SO impressed that you're doing that...I have some things in my home that need to be sanded/refinished and I'm chicken!!! TFS

Such a pretty card 😍 Just a quick tip: white poinsettias are slightly green at the veins of their petals, so if you mix in a very light green with the grey it looks quite realistic and pretty.

First of all the card is stunning! I agree that the white of a die cut is off putting. Your solution is fantastic! As for paint issues I have a story for you. When my husband and I got married, nearly 40 years ago, we were building a custom house. We ordered paint grade baseboards. To our surprise when they came they were made of redwood. Seriously, redwood! I had not painted much at that point and did not know redwood when painted would bleed. I put 7 coats of latex paint on them (I know 7 right?) before I asked my dad about it. I did not want pink baseboards! To my amazement my dad, who knew about such things, told me I had to use oil based paint. Who knew? It worked! It was a hard lesson but one I never forgot 😂.

Beautiful card. I had to look twice because this is not your typical Kelly card! I mean all your cards are fabulous but all the die cutting threw me. as always it’s a pleasure to watch your videos. I figured it was extra-long to make up for the two weeks you were silent. Don’t apologise for the length: everyone is capable of skipping over bits they don’t want. Sometimes - never with you but sometimes - I skip over bits of other crafters even if I usually enjoy their videos (depends on my mood and busy-ness) and sometimes I only look at the pics and move on.

@tjw19723 жыл бұрын
@@KellyTaylorCards Wow. I wish I could attach a photo. It's a really natural blonde that hasn't changed much from when she was a little girl. That sunlight with a few low light streaks. It's probably along the light sandy side. I love the color combos you've put on your blog. It's helped me in figuring out how to make purchases. Maybe ... when you get 38 seconds :) ... you could do that for the different hair colors. I think you could even do some tutorials on coloring hair ... I just kind of bumble through it. I'd even pay for the tutorial and I'll bet there are others who would also.
