Gdynia, most of all! Orłowo with its free-entry Molo/Pier and Kępa Redłowska (Cliff), Skwer Kościuszki with the Dar Pomorza (an old three-masted sailing ship, which you can see inside) and the Błyskawica (built in Cowes, Isle of Wight, Britain in 1935) next to it on the same wharf, Kamienna Góra with splendid views of the Gulf of Gdańsk and of the Hel Peninsula, Świętojańska Street with the Polish modernist architecture (the building built in 1920s-1930s). We hope you have been and admired Gdynia so far, warmest wishes and greetings, keep travelling and filming, have a good and beautiful weekend, Paweł and Gosia 🌞 🧡 🌤 🌹 ⛱ 🌅 🧡 😊 🌞 🌟 🍀 🇵🇱 🏝 🏖 🌅 🧡 💙

Naturally I'm biased, but Gdynia. 10 minutes walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk to forest, wild animals running around. Pretty good communication with some exception of northern districts - I wish there was a tunnel under the port. And Pączuś. No trip to the centre is finished without fresh doughnut from there ;)

If you want to visit Sopot, but you don't want to pay a lot for accommodation, there is always an option to go to the north area of Gdańsk, where you can easily access Sopot by the city train or by walking along the beach.

I was in Poland the same time as you, but on July 8 i was in the mountains visiting family! Back in the US now. I was in Sopot 4 years ago in July during a heat wave. It was so hot we didn't want to pay to walk on the pier where there is no shade. Sopot is a very pretty town. Probably pricier than the rest of Poland, but very nice.

Awesome! A quick, but lovely, visit to beautiful Sopot. The food looked great! Btw, you can walk all the way from Gdansk to Gdynia along a beach path. It's a long walk, but there are cafes on the way that are perfect for some much-needed breaks. Also, if you are still in the area you might want to visit Hel Peninsula and Slowinski National Park (contains the biggest shifting dunes in Europe.)

Oh yeah. I'd recommend seeing Słowiński National Park. Make sure though beforehand that the weather would be nice. When it rains the dunes lose their spirit. But when it's dry - thing looks like some parts of Egypt or Tunisia. As I recall german forces were training there prior to African campaign.

You should not limit yourself to Tricity you know. Go north, first to the bay of Puck - great place for all those windsurfing sports. And then even further north to Władysławowo and then east towards the end of Hel. You should see Hel, the main street still retains some of the original houses that were used by the fishermen who were living there. Also there is a centre dedicated to saving Baltic seals (three species) - they coordinate the effort of reintroduction of the seals into environment and their number is on the rise.

If you are wondering - you can go up to look at the sea from the cliff. Just go through the beach towards the cliff, and look for a wooden stairs on the left, just after the road end. You go uphill and then right and you and up just on top of the cliff. Which offers great view.

A fine vlog, dear Naomi and Luke! But Gdynia, especially Kamienna Góra, Orłowo and Skwer Kościuszki, Oksywie is even more interesting. You should go to Hel by train and visit Jurata Pier (free entry, you do not have to pay anything, it is shorter but more attractive than Sopot Pier, you can see it on our channel if you write Jurata Pier Molo). We can also recommend you Hel Lighthouse, the views from the tower of Muzeum Rybołówstwa in Hel (there is a lift there to the top), the viewpoint tower in Jurata (free entry), Dune Libek (Wydma or Góra Libek), The harbours in Hel, Jastarnia and Kuźnica. When in Hel you can have a delicious and inexpensive lunch or dinner at the Norda restaurant on Wiejska Street. You should also visit our beloved Chałupy, with its beautiful sandy beach and sand dunes, and the kitesurfing/windsurfing paradise on Puck Bay/Zatoka Pucka - you can see all of those on our channel if you want to see what they look like. It is a must if you are now in Gdynia or nearby. Best wishes and we cannot wait to see your another vlog from Gdynia and also from the Hel Peninsula! Yes, the best thing about Polish coastline is the neverending beach. Tri-city is the most expensive and most popular to foreingers. Kołobrzeg is also expensive but nice. And there are looooooooost of other towns and cities by the sea that have their own character. Hel is great - and its easy to go for a day trip there from Gdynia - by ship or by train. Łeba, Darłówko - for lying on the beach. Wolin Island - great history of Wikings!

Hi, it's great that you are in the Tri-City. Now you absolutely have to come to Oliwa. One of the most beautiful districts of Gdańsk. Located between Sopot and Gdańsk, close to the forest and nature, where there is a beautiful Cistercian Monastery with a beautiful park and great climate, and an amazing history. There are many interesting places there, I suggest that you climb the hill called Pachołek, which has a beautiful view of the Tri-City. Regards

If you're gonna have some extra time you should visit little village called Jastrzębia Góra- i was doing summer job there 5 years in a row. I completely love the calmness of that place. The place have "góra" in its name which means "mountain" and it's mostly bcoz of cliffs that are there. To get down to the beach u have to walk hundreds of steps. This place have most amazing sunsets I've ever witnessed.

I love the polish coast but the weather is crazy. I've been there in summer where the water was 18C, temp was 22C and rainy and I've been there when the water actually hit around 26C+, temp 30C+ and sunny, beautiful. Before I go I always check the weather. Bay of Puck or Hel and Wolin island r my go to's, but the entire coast is pristine with nice stops all along.

Gdańsk airport offers many many flights to Scandinavia, I checked it once and you could go to 11 different destinations in Norway/Sweden with only one popular flight company. It is cheap most of the time. I actually booked a flight from Oslo to Gdansk in June, because it was like 50 euro (plus 40 for the train to Berlin) instead of paying 300 euro for the direct flight Oslo-Berlin :) Sometimes you can find really cheap connections way under 50 euro if you are flexible with dates and exact destinations. So just remember: Gdansk is the airport for going to Scandinavia :))

Unfortunately, the pier was often a place for parties and drunks. By introducing fees, the city wants to limit access to people who want to use the pier contrary to its purpose. Besides the money from the tickets goes to the maintenance and necessary work. This is the longest wooden pier in Europe and going almost 500 meters into the sea, we inhale twice as much iodine as on the beach. Glad you like it and take care!
