There's so much in this scene that kills me: Paulie listening contentedly to the audiobook of Sun Tzu, Paulie at first acting as if he's backing down with his hands in the air, the shovel whack and the wallet plundering, the lawnmower theft, and (to me funniest of all) attempting to shut the trunk lid on an object obviously way too long to allow it to close.

Paulie reminds me of a guy in our neighbourhood. He was untouchable. Even the cops wouldn't arrest him. An absolute psycho. He terrorised the neighbourhood for years, until a couple of guys turned up at his house one day and shot him. We all reckon the police arranged it. Still, nice and peaceful now.

I know I shouldn't laugh as it's extreme, but I find it hilariously satisfying how Gary LaManna gets that smug attitude more or less beaten out of him (felt a bit bad for Jimmy, though). He thought Paulie wouldn't do fuck all, just 'cos his uncle is a big bad member of the old school mafia from Italy.
