Isaac, I have rediscovered this town through new eyes as I rewatch it today. It is absolutely stunning in its winding walkways, uphill and downhill climbs. As you mentioned in your titles, it is the Matera of the Tuscany region, and it truly is. You have always had a photographer's eye, and I can see it whenever you pause on a scene that looks like a portrait on a wall. My jaw dropped at least a half dozen times on scenic wide shots or smaller views down a street through the opening of a town gate. We wanted to stay in a medieval town for a few nights and I believe we have found our destination. And we'll stay at the hotel at the castle fortress. Rooms look beautiful and such a view out on the town and surrounding landscape. Absolute beauty even surpassing Civita in my opinion. Thank you for the renewed inspiration after rewatching this again. You do amazing work.

Hey, cool. Looking forward to the official Dave review. Hey, can you let me know how many ads you get that are the video type that you have to skip? Thanks. I can't tell how many of which type of ads have been inserted by KZbin. Thanks.
@SarahAndrews243 жыл бұрын
Hi Isaac, there is 7 to 8 ads on the average on a one hour video, skip the ad ones , I know KZbin adds the ads without the knowledge of the uploader, it's been happening to other youtubers as well , I normally drag the cursor to the end and then replay the video which then I can watch ad free, I get so engrossed in your videos that ads can become very intrusive.
@ProWalks3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm not sure what to do exactly. I know my videos are all about getting lost in the experience and feeling like you're there...or maybe just having some ambience in the background that you can keep on while you go about your business. In either case, I know the ads take away from that. In some KZbin videos, I feel like ads are expected and less obtrusive because of the nature of the video.. Besides the KZbin members and Patrons, the ads are my main source of revenue..which at this point is needed to really continue this channel. All the travel and work cost really add up. Anyway, I would love to make my videos add free. That's one of my goals. Any suggestions on merchandise I should offer..or maybe companies I should reach out to for sponsorships? I'm open to all ideas here. Thanks for letting me know.

@@ProWalks I totally agree with you, ads provide the much needed revenue for your hard work, time and the travel cost, sometimes when I see a new video from you I would play it and let it run to the end with the commercials while i do my errands because i know the ads will bring in some money and the second time i watch it without the ads with no disruption, your work is much appreciated for its quality and content and is very special to all your fans, will think of ideas for merchandise as well, for now I have to wait for tonight to watch the complete video to relax, thank you Isaac, cheers!

Hey Ken, yeah there are definitely more paths to walk down. I usually try to film a route that doesn't include walking the same path twice so sometimes I skip certain roads to end up filming the same thing twice. I keep forgetting about that Capri Boat tour. At this point it might just be worth doing it again. I have a way to reduce the wind noise finally so I might as well. I'll give them a call. :) hope you have a great summer.

Absolutely gorgeous. History around every corner. Reminds me a little of Civita di Bagnoregio, but then there are many hilltop towns and villages in Italy built on that same type of ground. Honestly, you have more information and sights in your walks than most documentaries. Have you used the Osmo Pocket in any of your walks? If so, do you notice any difference between that camera and the GoPro? Take care and keep walking!
@ProWalks3 жыл бұрын
Hey Ken, glad your enjoyed it. I try to look up as much history and info that would make sense to put in the captions. It's fun to look up all the history but I wish I knew it all before I filmed the walk. Usually I just know the basics before I film. I filmed the intro with my Osmo Pocket 2. I like the Osmo alright but....it's autofocus feature makes the video pulse a bit when it tries to track an object. The GoPro is 100% in focus all the time. The image is good on the Osmo but it is often very dark. If I walk through a shadowy area, everything looks black. The Gopro is always pretty bright.......and finally...the gimbal on the osmo pocket will sometimes get stuck in a certain position and you have to re-center it which causes a jolt on the video. So, I stick with the Gopro even though it has a bit of distortion to the video. I haven't had any complaints since I switched to the Gopro Hero 8. We are still locked down here but I'm getting a final list together of places to walk this summer. Civita is on the list. :) hope all is well Ken.
@kensellar3 жыл бұрын
@@ProWalks thanks for the great information. I've got Gopros and the Osmo pocket 2 and a couple of gimbals for the gopros (EVO and a Feiyu Tech- I like the Feiyu Tech better because from my using the EVO, the EVO can't correct if the horizon is off. So I'm looking forward to using both on our trip (whenever that is!) and looking at the difference. Sounds like the Gopro is the most reliable all purpose tool. Got my first vaccine shot a week or so ago, so that's a start. See what you can do about getting the Italian government giving the ok to Canadians to come visit the Amalfi coast! I'm hoping smaller communities like the coast will be the first to open up, and maybe the large cities like Venice and Rome and Naples will come after, since there's going to be more people packed close together in those big metropolitan centers. Thanks for the Civita info! I watch that one at least a couple times a week. Just make sure you're near Positano when we do come and I'll buy you that drink!
